It was the first place we stayed in a two week trip that wasn't moldy! We loved the automated check-in and digital keys but we suspect they do this so there is no one to complain to/assist. Blackout curtains were effective to block lights from the nearby bars but not noise. This hotel had specific non smoking rules that we were grateful for. Really comfy beds with mattress toppers.
Librije’s Hotel, in Zwolle’s historic center, offers elegant rooms and a 3 Michelin-star restaurant in the unusual setting of a renovated 18th-century women’s prison. Free WiFi is available.

I loved how dog-friendly they were. A lot of times it‘s said but once there does not feel that way at all.
The staff embraced our pup and made us feel like guests and not an inconvenience:)
Bilderberg Grand Hotel Wientjes is located at one of the most beautiful spots in Zwolle. Zwolle Central Station is 492 feet away and the historic center is just a 4-minute walk.

Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

Beautiful city.
Beautiful city.
Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie.
Beautiful bookstore inside an old church.
The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

I had only the time to visit quickly the city center for a dinner. I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. I'll try to visit it again in the future.

Very nice town with a lot of nice places where to stop for a drink of a coffee and good for shopping. The center is almost all pedestrian and it's perfect for a nice walk in this historical town from Overijssel.

I use Zwolle as a stopping point and each year on my way to Assen, I explore a little bit more through the narrow streets within the island. There are some fabulous places to eat and chill, its a lovely place.
The facilities were very modern and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I got my own cubicle with a single bed and storage, plus a locker for my bag in the hallway. I was travelling in off-peak season so it was really quiet, and the location was great. Zwolle is a beautiful place and the staff gave me recommendations for eating and drinking, which I followed and had a great night. The hostel is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station, and it takes you through the beautiful town centre.
We stayed on the 3rd floor and generally the 'noise' from the bar below is manageable and not as bad as we expected. Reception is at the breakfast counter (lvl 2), and we approached the bar counter when reception was empty. They are quick to help us with our check-in process.
Located in the city center was convenient as well, maybe 15-20 minutes walk from nearest station.
Breakfast was simple and great (croissants/bread/ham/cheese/yoghurt/milk/orange juice/spreads/boiled eggs)
The host was a fantasticly nice lady!!! My friend and I had a lovely time there! The host offered to pick us up at the train station, even I was able to let her know only one hour ahead. She made the house clean and cozy, provided great breakfast and even was willing to drive us to Giethoorn and picked us up there after our journey! If I go back to Zwolle again, I defintely will stay at Westenholte B&B again! And I will recommend the place to all my friends!
Very cozy and quiet space with a super comfortable bed. The neighbourhood is really cute and has everything you might need close-by. We enjoyed wine and lunch on the terrace of Meli Melo; 3 minute walk. Jumbo supermarket right next to it.
Train station and city centre are both a 10 minute walk away.
Good restaurants in the centre, obviously, but we had a great dinner just outside of it, in Bistro De Buik van Parijs.
Lovely hotel with clean comfortable rooms. Fun to put on robe after shower. Luxurious. Special thanks to Kind staff...especially gentlemen at the desk who kindly transferred our luggage from storage to our new room after we needed to change rooms mid-stay (due to our own decision). Great location between town amd train station. Safe locked bike storage.
The bunkbeds and the sheets were excellent! Like I was sleeping in a fancy hotel. Even the ability to charge your devices with every bed. Downtown the city and even with a nice bar and restaurant. And if you want to prepare your own meal, don't worry, there's also a fully equiped kitchen you can use. Great spot to explore the city.
Great room in a lovely old building with lots of character. Brilliant Tapas restaurant downstairs. Situated right on the main square with numerous other restaurants and bars nearby. Friendly welcome.
Street markets on several days, which were a pleasure to stroll around. Zwolle had much more to offer than we expected.
De basis was located within walking distance of everything in Zwolle, Restaurants, Bars, museums, etc. Its cleanliness is also worth noting, since everything looked spotless during my entire time there. But what I like the most was the friendly staff, everyone is really friendly and helpful.
A unique hotel with quirky rooms and a lovely atmosphere. Beautiful furnishings and wee nooks and crannies throughout. Great bar with huge variety of whiskies but also wines, spirits and soft drinks. Very friendly and accommodating staff who could not do enough for you
Easy check in, nice staff, Nespresso with different flavors incl decaf in the room. There was a big bathtub separate from the shower, and separate toilet. Just found everything to be quite easy at this hotel.
Spacious, comfortable room in Very peaceful setting! Walking distance to a nice city park and short bike ride to down town Zwolle. And a bonus raft trip on the canal! Awesome host!! 5 Stars
Loved the room, loved the hotel in general, the breakfast was amazing and surprisingly included in the room rate. If I stay again in Zwolle, it would be my choice straight away.
