- bread from bakery

The manager was extremely condescending.
The manager was extremely condescending. He acted as if he was doing me a favor by staying in his hotel. The hotel has a gate with a bell yo ring but the bell is not easily found after dark so yes I waited 30 minutes outside ringing the bell and no one opened the gate until a car and the gate opened. The manager blamed my incompetence. The manager refused to give me his name when I checked out but I could identify him by photo. Horrible experience thinking I would stay ocked out of hotel at 10 pm

We used to live in Dordrecht so it always feels like our second home. It's a lovely old own with plenty of unique shops, relaxing cafes, museums and nice walks around the canals.
It is on the main train line from Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam so it's easy to do day trips to these places.
You can also take the water ferry to Rotterdam and various other places from Dordrecht.

Surprised how unspoilt and picturesque Dordrecht was.
Surprised how unspoilt and picturesque Dordrecht was. It's not set up for tourism, though they are used to people from out of town with all the boats in the marina. Lots of cafes, and a few good places to eat. Close to Kinderdijk with the windmills. We stayed overnight on a stop over, but could of spent a couple of nights there, though probably not much longer than that.

Stayed in Dordrecht for the Dordt in stoom festival and it was wonderful and we will be back if we can ! The old town is pretty and the steam boats provided a great atmosphere in the old port. The only problem we had was that some places - like the tourist office and ticket booths - did not take either visa or mastercard - luckily we manged to get cash out but would have been in trouble over the weekend if this had not worked.
On a canal in the beautiful and lively old town and neighboring market area - Dordrecht is the oldest city in the Netherlands founded in 1008. The owners have completely renovated this old building into their private residence and two separate ensuite rooms. Pictures can be hard to judge, but our bedroom area was ~10x18 ft (3x5.3 m) with two huge windows overlooking the narrow canal, plus the spacious modern bath and large shower. Best of all was breakfast in the owners kitchen and talking with them and the other guests!
Everything! Our stay at Villa Conti was the best experience we have had in our travels. We were hosted by Astrid and Charles and no detail was overlooked. We were greeted warmly by Astrid and it was a pleasure speaking with Charles.
Breakfast was always delicious and delightful. Location was prime and we so enjoyed exploring the streets of Dordrecht.
Our bed so comfortable and the apartment so cozy. This is the place to stay!
Sebastian made sure we were at ease and comfortable in the flat. We had a very cozy room and he regularly made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean (more than many hotels…). Big kudos for the kitchen where we left everything we need for a nice coffee, tea + some chocolate treats!
The room we booked had excellent views over the river. Very old hotel but full of character. Car parking at rear of hotel for free. Very good breakfast. Plenty of choice. Dordrecht is a beautiful place to spend a few days. This hotel is in a great place to explore from. Would very happily stay again.
Perfectly located in the historical centrum of Dordrecht. Koos greeted us personally and showed us around the beautiful large apartment, which we rented for two people but can easily accommodate more. It's a former art gallery, so plenty of beautiful things everywhere, and even a piano!
Modern hotel with all needed comforts: quick, free WLAN, working areas, water bar, spacious and modern room, desk in the room, very friendly staff, and a nice bar to relax in the evening. Very quick access to high way, but also close to the picturesque town Dordrecht.
The location of the apartment is second to none for a stay in Dordrecht - perfect to explore the city.
The views are amazing.
The bed was comfortable.
The hosts were very friendly and upon entry our first impression was of a cozy and comfortable apartment
but...
The owner is so nice and friendly. Pinged me regularly to see if I need some something or help. The room is exceptional clean, even better than quite some hotels. The location is great: next to a supermarket and a few restaurant. Close to the train station.
Lovely little house in owners large garden with a beautiful patio overlooking the stream. Excellent location for Kinderdijk and for Dordrecht. Bikes were on hand for us to cycle into Dordrecht and this all added to the Dutch experience.
Very enjoyable stay. Excellent communication from owner re. access to property, apartment was clean and spacious in central Dordrecht. Far more interesting & relaxing than staying in a hotel. Recommended.
The location is 10/10, in the heart of old Dordrecht, just a stone's throw from the Grote Kerk.
This is an extremely friendly, well-run establishment. A wonderful ambience and an outstanding breakfast!
Staff very friendly, specially Appie, who was a true clerck, concierge and facilitator. Very good references and made effort to provide best service and make available additional services from Hotel.
A lovely old hotel, with kind and friendly day-time staff, a garden with a 300-year-old chestnut tree and a slightly younger red beech, a comfortable, ground-floor room with attentive little details.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful right on the canal. You are able to go to the top of the tower to enjoy the view. Gardens are fabulous and we had a drink overlooking them.
Place was as advertised in the pictures, nice and clean.Personnel was helpful and reached out to us to make sure we were ok. Very central in Dordrecht but still quiet area.
