Food was above average, host and staff friendly and very helpful. I arrived at 3:00 am and the host answered the door and showed me to my room.

Fabulous location in Gozo
Very nice and spacious apartment
It is a very attractive and interesting spot. We had a hire car and this helped us pack a lot of interesting visits into a short span of time. We came in March, so not everywhere was open. If you want a lively nightlife with lots of beachfront bars - this is not the place. If you want a good base to explore from, with a good restaurant nearby this is a good choice. It was perfect for what we wanted.

Love Marsalforn. We have been going there for over 20 years. Lots of very good restaurants and cafes. There is a regular bus up to Victoria and from there you can get buses to other parts of the island. At present the cost is 2 Euros for a ticket which you can use on multiple buses for 2 hours.

There are many restaurants to choose from, ranging from the most reasonably priced to the rather expensive ones. Irrespective of one's choice, food is always excellent. For those who prefer to eat in their apartments there are many well stocked food stores. The promenade is quite large and one can choose to swim in a sandy beach or in a rocky area.

Marsalforn is a small town on the north coast of the Gozo...
Marsalforn is a small town on the north coast of the Gozo island. Due to the overall small area of the island, Gozo is probably the second most important coastal destination after the port Mgarr. The town offers many restaurants on the coastal promenade, the nearby Xwejni beach with azure clear water, interesting natural scenery in the neighborhood (rock window Wied Il-Mielah, rock valley Wied Il-Ghasrí with the iconic beach), several supemarkts. I spend in Marsalforn my second holiday completely satisfied with Maltese wine during relaxed evenings far away from overcrowded, nervous and traffic-jammed Malta. A number of great beaches (Dahlet Quorrot, Hondoq Ir- Rummien, Wied Il-Ghasrí) are not accessible by public transport) so I recommend rent a car. Considering the lower traffic, getting used to driving on the left is not a serious problem for a continental European. Don't forget to visit the prehistoric Neolithic Temple of Xaghra, a thousand years older than the Egyptian pyramids! I wish you a stay as beautiful and happy as mine has been.

Great home base for our long weekend in Gozo (assuming you have a car). Cute little waterfront full of restaurant options, including Yummy Yummy Chinese which was a nice change from the Pizza, Pasta, and Seafood routine. We were in the shoulder season, so the water was still a little cold, although we did opt for an afternoon in the Blue Lagoon back on Comino. Didn't try any of the swim holes around Gozo, though. The roads in Gozo can get wildly rough pretty quickly, even if something looks like it's a bigger road on the map, so just take it slow!
It was a really nice clean apartment. It was very modern and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything you would want for your stay. There were a lot of special touches we didn't expect such as ice cream on arrival in the freezer. The host responded quickly to our messages. The location was great It was close to beach, walking trails, shops, bus and restaurants. The view from the balcony was stunning .We would recommend this property. In fact, Gozo was so nice we wished, we booked longer. We are hoping to go back again sometime!!
Electra could not have a better location. Our triple room was neat and clean; rather small, but we just needed somewhere to spend the night so that was ok. No windows to the outside of the building, however we knew that in advance. Bathroom comparatively big, has all you need. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere genial. Breakfast had a good choice of food, we had dinner in their adjoining restaurant and were happy with it. Mind you, Electra is a guesthouse not a 5star hotel and in that it fulfills its role in full.
Marsalforn. Anyone who tells you that one day on Gozo is a fool! And Apt 5 is a GEM. Only blocks from the awesome small seaside village town, grocery stores and amazing restaurants we will treasure in our memories forever. Our host Joseph, who owns the apt, knows everyone in town and will give you wonderful recommendations. The apartment was beyond what we needed and a treasure to find. The pictures don’t lie. DO NOT book hotels/rooms a block from town. Massive construction.
Very friendly host, you feel that he puts a lot of effort in the hotel and the wellbeing of his guests (he even supported us with bottled water). He was very helpful and offered a wonderful selfmade breakfast at a stunning rooftop. We felt very welcome and would highly recommend him to anyone. The accomodation is in front of a lovely beach and you can have beautiful walks through Gozo's landscape. Especially for diving the accomodation offers a great location.
The place has A/C without the coin system, which is commonly used in Gozo, so that is a big plus! Also it’s nice that they have a washing machine.
Some shops and many restaurants at a walking distance so it is easy to do groceries around the area.
The host was lovely and helpful when needed.
The kitchen has pans, and most things needed to cook.
Francesca was a Super hostess, she came to pick us up with the car from the bus station, she replied our request very quickly. She learn us al about Gozo !
It was a very clean apartment. The location was great and spacy, 2min. walk to the sea and nice restaurants.
We would stay here again ! Thanks Francesca !!!!
- George reacted quickly and moved us into another apartment to improve the situation.
- building relatively modern and new
- apartments fully equipped
- the pool is nice and was well received by our little one
- many restaurants in 10-15 walking range (stairs down on the seaside)
- parking is provided
Apartment had everything we needed, especially a lovely balcony. We appreciated the welcome pack. Was in a quiet area away from noise etc. but shops, nice places to eat were in walking distance.
We stayed for 2 nights, and were able to drive around and see all the attractions and places of interest on Gozo.
The apartment is brand new and was super clean. It has two balconies with amazing views. The host was kind and responding our messages very fast. Location was excellent with less than a 5 min walk from the sea and restaurants. I totally recommend it if you are looking for a short holiday stay in Gozo.
Joe and his Wife are an amazing host, the place is spotless and has facilities like a proper home. I could wash my clothes, use the oven and just sit down in the sofa and watch tv. Quite cozy and nice, definitelly will stay again next time I come to Gozo, also good wifi over 180 mbps.
Great place for a stay on Gozo in Marsalforn. Easily reachable from the ferry harbor by bus. The bus stop to Victoria is also only minutes away. Joseph is a very welcoming host. Would visit the hotel again. Good value for money.
Incredibly friendly staff in a fantastic location. Easy walk to all the waterfront restaurants in Marsalforn. Host and hostess were fun and friendly. Full breakfast was amazing - one of the best on our trip!
I loved the location and I felt really welcomed by Henry he had helped us with our exploration around Gozo and even helped us with our luggage. Definitely the best person we met in Gozo. HE DESERVES A RAISE!!!
Loved everything about the hotel. This has been my 6th or 7th stay. Love it Everytime! Every time I come to Gozo I choose to stay in Murella! Well done.
