The kitchen. The breakfast and food was fantastic, in a great ambiance, salon with lots of classic decoration, iridescent small mosaic on all columns of the salon, a break from city life. Luxurious set up of buffet with fresh cooked tarts, fresh brioche and cakes to eggs and bacon, variety of coffees and teas, all in beautiful classical silver settings. Breakfast creation and management and staff were fantastic to bring you anything you need. Great lunch and dinner menus...Clean large round tables, everything in white linen. Gorgeous!
Offering an seasonal outdoor pool, Hotel Riviera Palace is set on the beachfront and is 1.9 mi from the center of Porto Empedocle. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

Great place to stay right across from the beach. The bed is firm and the pillows are flat but that’s really everywhere in Sicily. The restaurant is fantastic though. We came in the low season when there’s not much going on and loved it. There’s walkable spots for breakfast/lunch. The beach is really nice and great for walking. The Turkish stairs are about a 25 minute walk by the beach, do this rather than driving.
Providing city views, B&B Empedocle in Porto Empedocle provides accommodations, a bar, and a shared lounge.

The host was very nice and flexible with check-in and helped us with parking. He gave us tips about local restaurants and how to access touristic attractions. The included breakfast consists of your choice of pastries + drink from a local pastry shop and is delicious and a great chance to try the local sweets! It will definitely fill you up.
Just a 8-minute walk from Marinella Beach and 1.2 miles from Spiaggia del Caos, Alta Marea B&B features accommodations in Porto Empedocle, with a shared lounge.

Montalbano fans will like to visit Porto Empedocle as there is a mural of Andrea Camileri and a bronze statue of 'Montalbano sono' in front of the pizzeria on the Main Street.
When in Porto Empedocle, a visit to the nearby 'Scala dei Turchi' is a must.

Nice restaurants, good food, nice prices and nearby beach, I would avoid staying at the apartment we booked called Gocce Siciliane Apartments. Embellished photos, dirty balcony, no parking for the apartment and fridge slightly bigger than a matchbox. Glad to see, in their reply, they agree the price is ridiculous.

Its really nice and quiet while only a stone's throw away from the major attractions.
It has some very good places to eat out and it is very easy to get around by foot.
It does have rather un-reliable public transport connections though as well as having some areas with an aweful lot of garbage and untaken care of public areas. However this is a general problem in many parts of Sicily.

The old part of the town has the most character.
The old part of the town has the most character. Via Roma is possibly the nicest street but there is also a charming piazza just a few steps further towards the harbour. It’s easy to find the town as it is the starting point for ferries to the islands. Parking is easy in the winter but maybe not so easy during holidays. It’s very much a working town with lots of industries around as well as some really picturesque spots. There are lots of restaurants with sea food as their speciality but you can get a range of menus and at least one catering for gluten free. Porto Empedocles makes a good base for touring all the main sites on the south coast. You do need a car as the buses are infrequent and there is no longer a passenger train service. The streets are very narrow so a small car with good ground clearance is recommended as the roads in and around the town are not well maintained.

The location is very good, there was no problem entering the property, restaurants are enough in the neighbourhood. We liked KENYA very much - delicious food, friendly staff... It's a pity that the elevator didn't work in the house, as well as the drenage in the shower. The sofa in the living-room was kinda strange...

Giusy was an amazing host, she was available via WhatsApp any time and had some nice tipps for us.
The room was equipped as discribed and shown on the pictures. A small balcony to hang out wet towels from the beach is a nice add on.
Due to covid, breakfast is not served in the accomodation, thus we had vouchers for a local pasticceria with really good coffee and croissants.
In Porto empedocle there is not much to see, nur Agrigento and the beaches are nearby.
We would stay there any time again!
We very much enjoyed our one night stay.
Conveniently located close to Porto Empedocle and Stair of the Turks by walking.
The host was very friendly, spoke English (thank you) and greeted us promptly and warmly.
Our room was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything looks new!
Breathtaking views of the sea from the common area patio.
Continental breakfast included was very good! A fresh cake baked every morning. So good!
This is probably the best hotel by the beach we booked to relax. It exceeded expectations. The room was big and bright and clean so were the surroundings of the hotel. Seemed that they were freshly renovated. The breakfast was great with a variety of choices, freshly baked croissants and a great view. You could have breakfast and enjoy the sea.
The location is fantastic, by the beach.
Big private parking even though plenty of parking around.
The hotel is located on a beautiful property with lovely views. Very peaceful. The rooms were nice and comfortable and clean. We ate at the restaurant and they were very accommodating. I have a shellfish allergy and they made sure that the menu was good for us. It was also delicious! It is a small menu with limited choices. The pool area is lovely although the pool was quite chilly in May! It is a very beautiful place to stay.
I loved Porto Empedocle, which is the town where the Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri was born... so it's filled with this atmosphere... real town and nice people, to me. Maria is a charming lady who lives in the building, and responds to questions and needs if possible. The bed was a little sofa/bed in the living-room, for one person. The apartment is centrally located and has an old school vibe.
The accomodation is right across the beach. The access to the room is modern, with no key, but with a code.
The room was simple, with a fridge and a kitchen.
The air conditioning was great.
The surrounding area of Porto Empedocle is nice, you have Scala dei Turchi to the west and Valley of Temples (Valle dei Templi) to the east.
The hotel is PERFECT! it is very clean, better than the photos, great location, big rooms, great bed and very kind owner. Nino, the owner, was very friendly, helpful and kind. He is always smiling and very helpful. The location is perfect - across from the beautiful beach, and has reserved parking. It was a wonderful stay!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This place was a one night stop during our Sicily road trip and it was so much better than we expected. The room is incredibly clean and the best bathroom. The view from the balcony was epic and the beach in front was my fav.
PLUS there is the most delicious cake in the kitchen for guests to eat.
A place where you stay happily for more than a weekend. The sea is across the street and the beach is perfect for parents and children, with shallow water. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, we soon felt at home. All the beauties of southern Sicily can be visited starting from here. Enjoy!
2nd time visiting this lovely hotel which is literally on the beach and this is very much appreciated when travelling with children. The room was very clean and the breakfast was simple but very fresh and very tasty. The staff working at this hotel are very friendly and helpful.
We loved Borgo delle Pietre- it felt like home! The hotel is owned by a couple - both very nice and helpful we anything we needed. The hotel is very charming, tasteful, has great food (dinner is a fixed menu but with great options) and stunning view. It was a fabulous stay!!
The hosts offered to transport us for the closest nearby city (Agrigento) to the village for a small collaboration of 10 Euros (Porto Empedocle) Also they were communicative and friendly. - They provided us with the bus times, which was good to be able to move around!
A comfortable apartment very close to the town with parking very close. Didn’t meet the hosts in person but communication was perfect. Really enjoyed our stay there and ideal for easy access to the temples at Agrigento. Porto Empedocle was great for eating out too.
Very clean upper apartment, big enough for a family of 4. Location was nice to visit the sights in the south of sicily. Nice hostess, but unfortunately could not speak English, but we managed ourselves with google translate.
In addition to being the best value in all of southeast Sicily (if not the entire island) with its spaciousness and comfort, the hosts are the kindest people in the world.
Great Location in Porto Empedocle and close drive to the Roman ruins and Turkish Steps. Hosts were outstanding and very helpful wonderful people. Apartment is beautiful.
Beatiful modern house. Big room and bathroom with terrace. Fantastic breakfast, best we had on our Sicily trip!
Private parking at 5euro. Very friendly host.
