If you like nature and walking, this is the place for you. Stunning and we particularly liked the walks around the Llanberis lake and up to the waterfall. There are some shops in the village but it is not that well equipped for proper food shopping. However, we arranged a food delivery from Asda which arrived promptly.

Llanberis is ideally located for the easiest walk or train...
Llanberis is ideally located for the easiest walk or train up Snowdon, our main reason to stay here. Many other more difficult walking options are a short car or bus journey away, be warned the popular car parks fill up very early in the day and some like Pen-Y-Pas must be prebooked and are very expensive. A few miles further away there are an almost infinite list of other walking routes that will be much less crowded. Be warned that none of the routes up Snowdon are easy, you should be fit and prepared for cold wet and foggy weather, any time of the year. Llanberis has a few shops, pubs, cafes and restauraunts although when we stayed in late March many were closed, I guess the season starts after Easter.

Llanberis is the ideal location to start your trip up to Llanberis path to Snowdon. We were also able to walk to the Slate Museum & Dolbadarn Castle. If you want to get the train to the top of Snowdon, the station is located in a visible easy to reach location, with a car park about 1 minute walk away. Also, just off the high street we found a beautiful waterfall named Rhaeadr.

LLanberis is beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay there.
LLanberis is beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay there. If you're there to see the sights, make sure you're traveling all around Snowdonia! In particular, some of the northern region has amazing landmarks, such as Corfe Castle.
There's a bus service that can transport you around the area - we stayed in the YHA in Pen Y Pass, and caught the bus from there to the nearest cheap car park in the morning to save some money.

I would have preferred a walk in shower with a bigger room. The hotel was very welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Plenty of space in the hotel to relax in .Good car parking space and to Snowdonia railway.,Plenty of walks and overall a pleasant relaxing stay. We would certainly return.
Staff were really friendly and helpful
Hotel was well set up - there was a dining room plus also a separate bar and also snooker and darts in another room which gave us something to do as a family when the weather was bad.
Location was good - right by the Snowdonia railway, buses were also along the road which took us to Snowdonia trek starts. There were also lovely walks near the hotel plus watersports within walking distance and a slate mine very near. It was quiet with a garden facing the mountains but on the main road with food shops etc
The house was lovely! The best looking property on the street and a great location - 10 mins walk to the start of the snowdon Llanberis route. The owners of the property were lovely and friendly and provided us a great stay with the best ‘free breakfast included’ breakfast we have had at a hotel. The rooms were lovely and spacious, a little en-suite to use and great views of the mountains from the windows. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits provided too which was a lovely touch and the wifi was ample and free view TV too
Location was great. Neighbours really friendly, local people in llanberis helpful and friendly. Property clean, spacious, has all facilities you need. Even though booking .com had wrong details about check in times, Becky still honoured the check in time we had and left us a lovely welcome gift too. We absolutely loved everything about the house and our stay here. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to anyone wanting to go snowdonia.
Very conveniently located on the Llanberis high street, and almost directly at a Sherpa Bus stop, which makes getting the bus to Bangor or Caernarfon very easy. Also a good starting point for the Llanberis Path and/or the railway up Snowdon. The flat has separate living and dining room, kitchen, bedroom and small outdoor garden area. Everything worked as expected - oven, shower, TV, etc. We didn't try the hobs or heating.
Friendly staff pub downstairs and cheap great place to put your head down for the night if you are hiking or climbing the next day
Every place has it's pros and cons.
But please remember this is a bunk house after all so if anyone is expecting a 5 star stay this place isn't for you. I will definitely be using this place again simply cause it's cheap and had a great laugh.
Great location so scenic & beautiful. Comfortable & immaculate accommodation! Spar shop next door. Pub, chippy, Indian restaurants close by.
Walking distance to hike up Snowdon on the Llanberis path. Caernarfon castle short 15 mins drive. First time visitors to Wales will definitely be back so much to explore!
Great location for exploring Snowdonia and the surrounding area. Close to amenities in Llanberis. Short walk to Snowdon Mountain Railway and the start of the Llanberis Path, also less well-known walks such as Mount Eilio. Key in coded box for easy access, free fast WiFi, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds.
Room very clean and perfectly functional. Location was perfect for snowdon climb. Located near the Llanberis path or a 15 min bus journey to the start pyg/miners track. Bus stop only 2 minute walk from hotel. No issues parking on street although there was free hotel parking available but we didnt use it.
The whole place felt cozy and comfortable. The beds were very private and comfortable for a hostel! And breakfast was restaurant quality. Sonni is so kind and friendly and always had recommendations if you didn’t know where to go. And the views are stunning! Best hostel experience yet.
The Royal Victoria is a comfortable and well-appointed hotel ideally situated for access to Snowdonia. It has plentiful parking, and a pleasant bar with a good bar menu. The room was cosy and a good size. Staff were generally courteous and helpful.
Wonderful location in the countryside with good views but also a short drive from Llanberis and Caernarfon. Gorgeous, clean, character cottage where everything just worked, no hassles whatsoever. Perfect for a relaxing week exploring Snowdonia.
Brilliant location for a solo traveller with having the pub/restaurant downstairs.
Room was clean with ensuite.
Friendly staff.
Good location within Llanberis.
Good base to explore Snowdonia (Eryri).
The owners who run the hotel are exceptionally kind, friendly and attentive, creating a very friendly atmosphere. Delicious breakfast, cooked to order. Great location for exploring Snowdonia.
Friendly staff. Room was clean. Close to Snowdon Railway station. Left our car at the front the next day so we didn't have to pay parking at the railway as it was close enough to walk.
Loved the Mountains of Wales. Everything was as advertised with a beautiful view from our room, good food and drinks along with the great mountain location close to the cog train.
Best place to stay for climbing Snowdon. Just the right level of comfort considering convenience. Staff helpful and great kitchen cooking up food after a long hike!
