I needed a hotel near Zurich airport, one priced low and without frills. My goal was to rest, sleep, before heading to a work-situation the following day, so the day-earlier arrival helps me with jet lag. Bramen was perfect for all this--a family hotel, with a superb pub/restaurant on the ground floor--apparently a well-known spot with classic decor, marvelous-smelling and looking food (I didn't have a meal other than breakfast), loads of locals, a fine, warm feeling about it. Very friendly folks who worked there (the owner, I'm guessing, her family who live there, the restaurant and housekeeping folks who likely do double duty, all so nice). As I expected, the room is very simple, no frills, nothing spiffy, but that's what I wanted. Comfy bed, good wi-fi, no distractions, a supermarket directly next door for the goodies I like to eat when I'm overcoming jet lag (light, fruit, rice cakes). An apotheke (pharmacy) down the corner, quiet neighborhood, and just minutes from the airport. Price was great! I woul definitely stay there again.

Nice village close to the airport. Many shops, restaurants, take aways, pharmacies, etc. Also many public transport choices. There are also two public swimming pools, one covered and one open air for the summer.

Kloten is my favorite location for the night before...
Kloten is my favorite location for the night before departure at the Zurich airport. It has convenient bus & rail service to the airport and provides a safe, walkable community to eat, shop for groceries and the all important chocolate to take home, and explore.

The room was too hot and a fan was not available.
The room was too hot and a fan was not available. It was really too hot to stay in the room until the sun set. They have some type of central air conditioning which does not blow cool air. Also the room was $25 cheaper on the day of arrival but the haughty property manager refused to make a price adjustment. He said it was inflexible like an “airline ticket” and would make. I exceptions. I got to the room and saw that the cancellation period was until 6 pm on the day of arrival so I should have just cancelled and rebooked right there at the front desk.BethUnited States of America

Kloten train station is about 5-10 minutes walk, and travelling to Zurich HB station is only 16 mins train ride. even though the apartment has no reception, before the trip, i was able to contact the management on booking.com to arrange some things, and they were helpful and responsive.

The check in was very smooth, I was supposed to check in around 1400 hours as per the hotel policy but did so around 7:30am, and left at around 2:30pm. My stay was short but I enjoyed staying, and relaxing there. My breakfast was exotic, wide range of food items and very delicious.

Trains to Zurich leave every 5-10 min and it takes 15 min to get to the city center. There are some butiks and cafes near here . There is a round a clock mini supermarket just in the hotel. And it saved us a lot cause we came in the midnight and we were very hungry. Spacious rooms. Abondant breakfast.
