We traveled for a wedding in Dunmore House and the property was a 2 minute drive away so very handy! We were only down for the weekend but got to see Clonakilty and Inchydoney beach as the house was so close to both. It was a lovely relaxing stay and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We also enjoyed discovering all the paths and plants ourselves and found inspiration there for our own garden back home . The house itself was just as much an experience as it is a beautiful wooden blockhouse and felt lovely to be in .

The views out the two bedroom windows were charming; the church & town through one, and trees and a pasture of sheep through the other. On sunny days the light moves through the room in a lovely way. I extended my stay and could have stayed longer! The lodge is just at the edge of town with the pub, small grocery stores, bakery & woodland very nearby. Paudie was a great host; very responsive to messages and offered ideas of how to enjoy the area.
