This was the true highlight of the trip. Eliza, the houseboat owner, was extremely hospitable and accommodating. She made every effort to assure that the houseboat was in perfect order for us. She even had a bottle of champagne for us. The accommodations were amazing and extravagant. We wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Can't walk to the city center though - it's a bit far, but there is a bus stop nearby. You can also rent a bike at the hotel (or a boat!). Spacious free parking just at the front. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms although might give you a gloomy impression at first due to dark interior design. Very quiet. Worth recommending! :)

Not much traffic late at night. About a 15 minute flat walk from the train station. 20 if you stop for a coffee! The welcome can of Pringles was nice. Staff friendly and efficient. We think we will return if we revisit the region.
