An easy guided riverside walk to explore Aspen’s East End

During this guided, easy hike, you will follow trail networks through Aspen’s East End. On this light hike, you will encounter uneven surfaces and dirt paths with some elevation gain. The tour begins in front of the Wheeler Opera House and continues to the John Denver Sanctuary, which connects to the park network along the Roaring Fork River. You will traverse along and across the Roaring Fork River and pass through the Ute Cemetery. Along the way, you will learn about Aspen’s history and culture while walking through neighborhoods and along hidden riverside paths.
