During this three-hour self-guided audio tour, you will explore the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. Led by a live GPS map, images, text and audio, you will be guided on a driving tour along Kancamagus Scenic Byway and through New Hampshire’s White Mountain National Forest. First, you will begin at the White Mountain Visitor Center and continue along Kancamagus Scenic Byway to Sabbaday Falls, Russell-Colbath House, Rocky Gorge Scenic Area and Albany Covered Bridge.
During this drive, you will see Mount Osceola, Mount Washington, Mount Hancock and Mount Chocorua and you may see otters. Along the way, you will learn about the Kancamagus, the landscape and its history and hear stories about the Old Man of the Mountain, the legend of the celestial bear who created the Milky Way galaxy, and the spooky story about the family who once lived at Russell-Colbath House.
