On this cruise, you’ll hop on the modern windjammer boat Appledore II and sail into the bay to experience the rocky coast of Maine. You’ll get access to the wide decks and state-of-the-art facilities on the wooden ship.
You’ll start from Bayview Landing and head into the Camden Harbour. You’ll sail past some prominent landmarks of Camden such as the lighthouse and the Curtis Island Light. Then you’ll head to Penobscot Bay, which is one of the top cruising bays in the world featuring uninhabited islands and unique wildlife. You’ll get to see sprawling views of the Camden Hills as well as other coastal mountains.
Then you’ll pass by Mount Battie, which is popular for its vintage inns and summer mansions belonging to the rich and famous. You may get a chance to spot some porpoises, ospreys, seals, whales and other marine species.
