On this educational tour, you’ll explore a historic, open gold mine and learn about the prosperous mining towns of the past. You’ll head more than 1000 ft below the earth’s surface for a guided tour of the Country Boy Mine, once among the largest and most well-known of Breckenridge’s mines.

You’ll find many fun activities on site, like a 55 ft ore chute you can slide down, miniature donkeys to pet in the summer months and gold panning. You can also explore exhibits about the mine’s history, see genuine equipment and visit the general store for souvenirs.
