On this two-hour adventure, you’ll journey down the lower portion of the Salt River on a kayak. After a brief orientation, you’ll make your own way along the route, taking on a leisurely, eight-mile stretch of water moving towards Tonto National Forest. Along the way, you can look out for wildlife like wild horses, birds and other creatures that can often be found cooling off in the river.

    Please note that you will get wet, and it's recommended to bring a waterproof bag or pouch for your valuables. There are bungee straps on the front and back of the kayaks.

    Please bring sun protection, a water bottle, water shoes or strap-on sandals (no flipflops) and a small or medium-sized backpack for your belongings which you can secure to your kayak.

    Water, sunscreen and dry bags are available for sale.

    Directions to the ranch: look for the stop sign with a closed gate on its right, the horse stable office will be to your right. You can go around the gate on the left side of the road. Drive past the lodge on the left and park in the dirt parking lot. Go to the office window to check in.
