On this guided tour, you’ll discover the natural beauty of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. You’ll begin your tour early in the morning from Ulaanbaatar and head to the destination around two hours away. On the way, you’ll make a quick stop at Ovoo, which is a rock pile with a lot of religious importance.
Upon arrival at the park, you’ll have time to admire the alpine mountain landscape and discover various rock formations such as the famous Turtle Rock. Next, you’ll embark on a short hike up to the Ariyabal meditation temple. Then you’ll meet a local Mongolian nomad family, experience their way of life up close and have lunch with them.
Finally, you’ll head to Genghis Khan’s Statue Complex, which houses one of the biggest equestrian statues in the world. You’ll have time to explore the statue complex and climb to the top of the statue to see panoramic views.
