On this hiking tour, you’ll explore Meteora at a gentle pace and discover little-known trails of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll take a round-trip route from the Doupiani Rock to the heights of the Grand Meteora Monastery. Hiking through the rock forest of Meteora with a guide, you’ll come across captivating views on the morning tour. Along the way, you’ll pass some of the smaller rock monasteries like Ypapanti and learn about Meteora’s rare geological formations and history. You’ll visit secret local spots and avoid the crowds. You’ll also gain insights into the proper etiquette for visiting religious sites.

This tour requires participants to be physically fit.
Please note that the monasteries have a strict dress code. Men must wear trousers and long sleeves. Women must wear long skirts.
Visitors who wear shorts would normally be provided with trousers and skirts, but due to the current COVID-19 situation, all Monasteries of Meteora will not be providing this service. You’ll be denied access if dressed in sleeveless clothing or shorts.
