Good skiing with everything you need within close proximity.
Good skiing with everything you need within close proximity. However, if you are looking for an authentic Japanese exeprience, you are not going to find it in Hakuba. There are a lot of foreigners and many of the establishment workers are foreigners as well.

The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One...
The buses to get to other ski fields and around Happo One are somewhat confusing but it seems that there are more buses than on the timetables so that is a bonus. Many lifts start at 8am, so ideally one would have breakfast at 6:30 so one could get an early bus, but may be a challenge finding accommodation that does this.

It’s a ski and snow lover paradise.
It’s a ski and snow lover paradise. A small town with not so much city vibe, but best for snow or ski experience. It’s the idyllic charm that stands out for me. Everything u need for snow and ski experience is available there, for rent or to buy.

Snow was great, the town was very cute.
Snow was great, the town was very cute. Most of all, it wasn't that busy and lift have good space. Plenty of slops to choose from, and great restaurants, shops to go around after ski. Especially onsen was one of the great thing to add after the ski!

Hakuba is great and very welcoming.
Hakuba is great and very welcoming. The people and food are amazing. The skiing was great given the snow levels were lower than normal. The only thing to keep in mind is the bus service, while convenient can get crowded and does not run as much as it maybe should. A car would definitely be a great asset to have.
The friendliness vibes of Mr. Shuto who received us and explaining the information regarding the shuttle bus and assists in our request to change to lower level room due to my mum who is 77 years old have difficulties to climb the stairs until level 5 as the elevator was not working upon the earthquake early 2024.
The location next to the Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort makes it easier to ski in and ski out. We enjoyed our ski time during the day and the night time.
The room with the kitchenette helps us to have our own home cook.
I came to Hakuba alone for a snowboarding trip at the start of the season. The place is very cosy, with warm rooms, and free tea/coffee. The rooms are simple yet spacious with comfortable futons. A drying room is provided to keep wet ski/snowboard equipment overnight. Free shuttle bus stops are withing a few minutes walking distance from the accommodation that can take you to/from most of the ski resorts in the area.
Really great service and very nice location. 5 min walk from Happo One ski resort, Sakka ski lift. If you want to take the gondola, it’s a bit further away, but the hotel staff are very nice and take you by car. Our room (207) was really nice, with a nice forest view. Staff were very friendly and helpful, they even ordered a taxi for us when I messaged them on booking.com as we were in a different location.
The location is very convenient, only 10 min to Hakuba Iwatake mountain. From Hakuba station 15 min by car. There is a The NorthFace flagship store, family restaurant, and 7-11 convenient store near the station. The hotel is cozy and clean. Bed is very comfy. Breakfast is simple but delicious. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the conversation with him, and will definitely visit again!
Great hotel.
Staff are friendly and professional, room was a typical Japanese room on tatami… no chair so everything is on the floor so need to be mobile enough.
Japanese breakfast was great and sustained me for most of the day.
Onsen was great after a day of skiing…
On top of it, location is great, close to lift and/or shuttle bus.
Overall would definitely recommend the Hakuba Glad Inn Ebisuya.
Naomi picked us up from Kamishiro station which was very helpful and also dropped us at the bus stop on our check-out day.
The breakfast and dinner are great. Koki-san and Naomi-san are very friendly and happy to help us if we have any questions.
There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that can drop us into Goryu ski resort. If you want to go to the other resorts, you need to take another bus.
The best thing about False Inn is that it has a bus stop in front of it so you can jump in any bus to any ski resort in the morning normally like 8 am. And it has onsen in basement floor so you can relax your body after ski. The staff are not many and all of them are super helpful and try their best to help you out. The 711 is very close to the hotel and it opens 24 hours so it is very convenient.
Staff (Kata, Joey and Sam) were friendly and helpful. Owners Bernd and Naoko were also very friendly and went out of their way to make sure all guests enjoyed their stay. They all made us feel like family or good friends. The hotel was in a perfect position for ski in ski out, and we had lovely meals at the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable and warm with great views of the mountains.
The staff was very welcoming and gave us tips for dinner, ski pass, bus schedule etc. The Hotel location is right in the heart of eco village - where you'll have a huge choice of restaurants, cafes and rental shops. Its also easy to just take the free shuttle bus for just 5 min to arrive at the ski resort.
Super delicious breakfast at the cute Swiss restaurant right next to the Hotel.
This place was fantastic. Mountain cabin in a distinctly Japanese style. It's not especially walkable but Toshi will shuttle you around the valley, including to Happo One ski resort. Just need to take a taxi if you're trying to get back after dinner time. Private onsen was really nice. Toshi and his wife were wonderful hosts, easily recommend.
Koji and Chikako are the kindest, most generous hosts who will go above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect ski/snowboard vacation in Hakuba. Do not stay anywhere else! You will love the warm and friendly atmosphere they create. This guest house is perfect for newcomers to Japan and for families with children. I highly recommend it!
Loved the staff who were very friendly and offered tips and guides on where to go throughout Hakuba and the public transport.
It was very close to Echoland shops and restaurants and bus stops to get to the surrounding ski resorts.
The breakfast was terrific and and the onsens were amazing after long ski days and to relax.
Decent Japanese breakfast, quite a short window though, so make sure you get there on time. It's an old 80's/90's hotel, lots of wood panelling, but clean and convenient. Daily shuttles to and from the slopes, good ski drying room. No complaints. Nice in house onsen for hotel guests, wonderful way to end the day.
Cozy efficiently planned cottage perfect for our young family. Kids loved sleeping on futons in the attic. All the basic cooking tools and kitchenware available.
5-7 minute drive to Hakuba 47 & Goryu ski slopes, and restaurant area and supermarket. You will need a rental car for the stay to be practical.
Run by a family, feels very homey. Everyone chats with each other. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Slept well after full days of skiing. There are a couple of vans and drivers to transport you between the ski resorts, town, and back to the inn. Would recommend if you're coming to Hakuba Valley to ski.
- Hosts are really nice people. They are communicative and they will make you feel like home.
- Location is quite good if your interest is doing ski/snowboard. Bus stop is 3min walking distance. Very close to Happo and relatively close to Hakuba47. Rental car is also close and cheap.
The room had heated floors, very nice bathrooms, and great views. Multiple rental shops are within walking distance. Happo One ski lifts are only a few minutes away via the free shuttle (also walkable, but safer via shuttle during the winter months).
The location is wonderful near the bus station, near the kamishiro train station, 10 minutes walking distance to hakuba goryu ski resort. Wonderful staff & excellent food.
Awesome location to Happo One resort, dining and shops. The apartment was nice sized for our family of 4 and clean. All the staff was very friendly and really helpful!
