Breakfast was a disappointment. Milk machine was out of order so a gallon jug was in a cooler. Made it a bit difficult to use. The orange juice tasted watered down. But otherwise passable.

There are some very rude people in cody Wy. They do not like tourists. They will cuss at you on the road , they will ride your bumper, yell obscenities to you. It's sad , with out tourists, cody wouldn't be what it is today. I used to love cody , until the residents started being more than rude to people from other states. If we stopped coming to cody, wondering how much of a ghost town would cody turn into.

I am from Wyo. and am in Cody frequently, so I can't really comment on length stayed. We are usually in Cody for things that "normal" travelers are not. We are here for sports, to see friends, and other such things.

I loved the location, the motel itself and the rooms were great. Couldn't ask for anything better and the value for the cost was fantastic. I had mixed reactions for the staff. The gentleman who checked us in for the evening was great. Seemed to go out of his way explaining things and getting us into the room we booked online. However, the lady working the desk in the morning double charged my credit card by mistake (according to her) but didn't attempt to fix the charge even though she knew she had made the mistake. The manager had to be called to make adjustments and I'm still waiting for the adjustment to be cleared after 4 days.

We were there toward the end of the season.
We were there toward the end of the season. Our purpose was to go to the Whitney Western Art Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It actually had 5 museums and we went to four of them. My husband loved the Buffalo Bill museum. I did love the Whitney, but also the Natural History Museum. In addition, Cody is only 58 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone, and the drive there is spectacular. We had not planned on going, but we did end up spending a full day there. Cody is definitely worth a stop.

Prices very high.
Prices very high. Got the impression people there liked you only for what you would spend. Very crowded. No place to eat because of the glut of people there. The Buffalo Bill Museum of the West was good. Enjoyable time spent there. The Chief Joseph Highway was awesome. Otherwise, the rest of this highly priced resort town is not for me. I will not return.

Excellent gateway location for the East Entrance Road in Yellowstone National Park. Also, a good starting point for Chief Joseph Scenic By-way and Beartooth Scenic Highway. There are so many things to see and do around Cody that one trip is certainly not enough!
The staff (Rex & Jeff) were very helpful. We had an accident outside of Cody, totaling our car on the way to the hotel and they allowed us a late checkout the next day to rent a car and deal with our car. Upon arrival Rex helped us with our luggage and helped us settle in. The room was clean and comfortable. Located downtown - within walking distance of restaurants and shops.
Such a wonderful hotel! Can't wait to come back again, and maybe just to stay here! Lovely atrium and back porch area and other places within the hotel to sit and gather or read. The decor and feel really is so cozy and true to its history- awesome renovations-they thought of everything! THANK YOU!
Nice and new hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is nicely located. It is easy to reach the highway to Yellowstone, the Rodeo and downtown with the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. A supermarket and a gas station are near by.
The room is very spacious and the pool area is very nice.
Beautiful place with very nice outside grounds, the first hotel into Cody from Yellowstone. Lobby was spacious with seating to enjoy the views Spa suites are well worth it for room to stretch out and relax. Breakfast was the usual offerings, but plentiful. Quiet and restful
Sunrise Motor Inn is in a good position for people going/coming to Yellowstone Park east entrance. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast does not offer varieties, but usually, it is not even provided in motor inn hotels/motels, so it was more than expected.
It was like staying in a museum! Buffalo Bill Cody actually had this hotel built. There are pictures of him throughout the hotel and you can see where his room was. The food in the restaurant is very good. The entertainment in the lounge was very good!
Good breakfast and breakfast area. Clean rooms, with plenty of room for 4 people. Driving distance from the Yellowstone National Park. Short driving distance from the Cody village center shops, stores, historical sites.
I grew up in Cody and the Irma was always the place to meet friends for food and drinks, when I returned to town. I always wanted to stay in the hotel and decided I wasn't getting any younger. So glad I did.
Hotel is very well-kept with new equipment. Room was big enough, clean with fresh bed-sheets and towels. Nice inside swimming-pool. Free parking, close to the shopping mall. Very good breakfast.
The hotel is not a fancy place, but more than excellent private motel to stay for visiting the beautiful town of Cody. The staff is very friendly and the communication with us was perfect.
Lovely staff who helped us with changing rooms to something that suited us better
nice coffee on the house
Clean room, good wi fi, good facilities
well located within Cody
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel used their mini bus to take us into town and collect us when we were ready at no cost. Excellent. Also, good breakfast.
