The location couldn’t be better even though it’s 3 km drive from the borovets city but the hotel located in the middle of forest and I could hear only the birds sounds and nothing else which for me it was perfect. The room was big enough and comfortable bed. It has balcony with the forest view.

Probably good for beginners (less than 3 trips). Anything more and you’ll be bored after a day. Resprt is dreadful - like Blackpool on ice. No atmosphere, just bars, average restaurants and limited skiing.
Two good things - Rila hotel is lovely, and Victoria restaurant is a gem amongst some very basic food offerings

Borovets is a great place for families looking for a ski vacation. It's not to hard to get to from Sofia airport. Just 77 minutes away from the airport. The town felt safe and quiet even at night ( at least where we stayed). It has a green slope which is ideal for beginners. The blue and green slopes are right next to each other. This enabled me to see my daughter ski on the blue slope while I used the easier green slope which was too easy for her. The lift is safe and efficient. The slopes are wide enough to accommodate all the skiers without feeling too crowded. There are lots of good options for ski lessons and equipment. Personally I recommend Ollie Moly Ski school and rental. One piece of advice: don't change money to BGN in the airport. You get a much better rate by changing in Borovets. There are plenty of change stores in the town. The town is very close to the ski slopes. There are plenty of places to buy food

Beautiful slopes and lots of chairs available high on the mountains. It is however extremely crowded at the bottom gondola. It opens at 8:30 but at that time the queue is already very long and it's going slowly. We spent almost 45-60 mins staying in the queue at the bottom gondola. Also, the closing time is 4:30 PM. We would have expected that during Febr when the day is longer that they will be open much later than that.

Slopes were not well maintained, especially after it snowed overnight. They would become bumpy quickly after start of the day. Lifts timinings are also stange - cabin starts at 8 am, while Yastrebec Express at 8:30, so if one wants to go up - you have to wait very long time at Mid Station. I think it would be a great idea to leave 2 or 3 cabins empty, every now and then, so people waiting at mid statuon can board quicker.

The resort has seen better days.
The resort has seen better days. As a native from Bulgaria we can see the hordes of people hitting the slopes during the winter(when we visit) and if you plan to visit during the weekend - don't, you will ruin your experience. We are talking about 20minute waits on lifts, no space to walk due to lack of parking spaces to handle the traffic load and so. Week days are still calm and you can actually enjoy it. Another tip - if you want to eat, go to the near by town Samokov(5min drive) instead of eating on the slopes. It costs as much as 50% less and the food is better.
The hotel Alpin was fabulously located for a week of skiing. The piste side lodge was better than we could have expected giving us ample space for our family. Loads of storage for boots and skis meant we were able to store all of our equipment and just step out onto the slope and ski down to the lifts. Food was beautiful and staff were always friendly and welcoming. The beds in the lodge were comfortable ensuring we had a great night sleep after a long day of skiing. The hotel is perfectly located to explore the centre of Borovets.
We very much enjoyed everything about this hotel. From the diversified breakfast to the spa which had an amazing pool with jacuzzi and glass roof.
Staff was kind and helpful.
In each day the room was cleaned, towels were changed if needed and we did not had any worries about the warmthness.
Hotel is situated in a quiet zone of Borovets, don’t expect to have a 2 minute walk to the center. But this is not an inconveniece because you will have a free shuttle to bring you to and in from center.
I must say that Yastrebetz view aparment exceeded mine expectations. Location was perfect, very close to Yastrebec 3 slope, but keep in mind that this is advance ski slope so it is not suitable for beginers. Apartment itself is located in Borovets Hills complex, which means you will hace access to all amendities there, like pool, spa etc with fee. Aparment was specious, beds were OK, and kitchen had all the required elements. Great experiance overall!
The location is good, the breakfast is ok, the rooms are adequate. The outdoor spa was great! For the money we paid we were very happy, we went for a few days skiing, it has a rental shop so everything was there that we needed and you can walk everywhere in Borovets as it is only small. The hotel is very close to the gondola so if you’re a skier already it’s a brilliant location and plenty of bars and restaurants within a stones throw
The room was big and clean. It was quiet, although you could hear the odd thump from upstairs. The breakfast was superb - one of the best we've ever had! The hotel is 1.3km away from the center of Borovets. This was a big plus for us as the city center tends to get too busy for our liking. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would do it again.
The hotel is very good and modern. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The food is delicious. The staff are kind and very helpful. Free parking available in the garage of the hotel. There is a headed pool and spa. The location is great, near the ski area and the center of the place. Highly recommend.
I visited the hotel when there was no snow in the area. Despite that it was a great experience, We enjoyed hiking in the surrounding forest and visited the village of Borovets. The rooms were comfortable and cozy with everything anyone needs, even a small kitchenette. All in all a great time spend
The location couldn’t be better even though it’s 3 km drive from the borovets city but the hotel located in the middle of forest and I could hear only the birds sounds and nothing else which for me it was perfect. The room was big enough and comfortable bed. It has balcony with the forest view.
The location is good 10-12 min walking to the cabin lift. Apart hotels give you the freedom to take a rest and to prepare a tea, to eat food that you're used to eat. Good for vacacione with family and children and for longer stay, not just a weekend. The free parking is an advantage too.
The food was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of parking space and the view from the restaurant was nice. The hotel is located a bit away from Borovets center(not far, just enough) that it was quiet and peacefull.
The hotel was beautiful. Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and Dinner were also very tasty, certainly nice to eat. They had a little toy area that my daughter enjoyed, and even let us borrow some sleighs so she could have fun in the snow.
The size of the room was wow. We went skiing, and the hotel had a shuttle to the slopes. For this type of hotel, it was a great surprise to have very good steam sauna and Finnish sauna. Good variety in breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.
Everything was fine, it was warm and the breakfast was really good. The spa is also very good and the personal is kind especially the manager. The hotel is a little bit far from Martinovi Baraki, but overall, it is good value for money
Great, large, well thought-out facilities. Spa area with saunas, jacuzzis and pool was especially nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is set in beautiful Borovets right next to the ski slope and some restaurants.
Very conveniently located -- only a 5-10 minute walk from Borovets center, so it's away from noisy hotels and bars. The blackout curtains helped us get a good sleep! The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast was such a nice way to start each day. The spa facilities were incredible. Location was great. Staff always lovely. The restaurant in the hotel (a la carte) was the best food we had in all of Borovets.
Best yet, 3rd time to Borovets and this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Location for the gondola couldn’t be better, for restaurants and the legendary BJ’s bar too. Highly recommend.
Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Good variety at breakfast.
I will be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone I know considering a holiday in Borovets.
