Sun-drenched and laid-back, Perth is simply a joy to be in. However, the West Australian capital does have tourist attractions, such as the Colonial-era mint, important in the country’s gold industry. East is the WACA, a must-see for cricket fans, and the city is also mad for Aussie Rules football.
The city center has the historic Government House and Supreme Court, both dwarfed by the ultra-modern skyscrapers a few streets behind. The best skyline view is from leafy King’s Park, near the War Memorial overlooking the Swan River below, named after its black swans. Across the river in Perth Zoo are more native animals including koalas, crocodiles and free-hopping kangaroos.
Boats to the zoo leave from the Barrack Street jetty by a sail-shaped bell tower. Other day trips from Perth include Rottnest Island and Fremantle, down the river in the opposite direction from Perth Airport.
The apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Perth are spread all over this fantastic city, interspersed with restaurants serving specialties such as western rock lobster and chili mussels. There are also a wealth of bars, many playing the indie music that the city is known for. Local brews from Swan Brewery and wines from the Swan Valley vineyards round off the evening.

Unfortunately we had very bad weather but that didn’t stop us exploring such beautiful city. Rottnest, Fremantle And Busselton were all beautiful. Margaret River wineries are a must see. Caves were amazing.

We went over for a conference and stay an extra 10 days for a holiday.
Visited Rottnest Island, Swan Valley, Kings Park, Rockingham, & Fremantle.
Perth has a number of buses which make it easy to get around without a car.
We did hire a car as we wanted to travel up and down the coast. But while we stayed in the CBD we used the Red Cat, Blue Cat, Purple Cat buses. Very easy and reliable.
Did a tour through Kings Park and visited the Perth Mint.
Did the Matagarup Bridge Climb and Zip. Played mini golf after we came off the bridge. Lots of fun.

Perth is a fantastic city, particularly for those with children. It’s family friendly with plenty to do and the weather is stunning. The beaches are sensational with many a walkway located alongside them. Cafes are abundant and cater for all, as are restaurants with prices to suit all budgets. People in Perth are also so friendly, great place to visit or stay on.
This hotel is literally in the city center, few minutes by walk far from Barrack Jetty or the Perth train station.
The cleanliness of the room is astonishing and so are the soaps/shampoos.
The hall gets scented by a Scent Australia machine and I've personally never smelled something so good anywhere.
Chromecast easily configurable to be used with your own phone.
Air Conditioner with touch controls on the wall, easy to setup.
These days in the structure definetely exceeded my expectations
The Perth Ibis is within a short walk from the train station and handy to bus service. The harbour and the shops are all within walking distance. My room was on the backside of the hotel and was very quiet. No traffic noise. The breakfast buffet was in keeping with all of the 4 star hotels I stayed at during this trip in Australia. Lots of options and they are happy to provide gluten-free bread for toast.
Convenient location with an IGA and take-away food options nearby. The bus stop to the CBD directly outside the hotel was handy. The airport shuttle service was excellent. Kids loved the pool, which was clean and great for cooling off after a hot day in Perth. The 2 bedroom apartment was comfortable and clean enough for our needs. Having kitchen facilities was also handy.
Love everything about this hotel in East Perth. Perfect for a romantic getaway, it is surrounded by beautiful gardens and three great restaurants that overlook the water. You'll feel like you're in Europe! It even has an outdoor, heated swimming pool with views. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Reception staff are lovely and welcoming.
Julio's Restaurant was outstanding. Great menu and service - and the food and drinks were delicious!
The hotel staff were very professional - welcoming and efficient. The room was comfortable and well-suited to our needs. The hotel is well located in West Perth - easy to reach and handy to many services. In short, it is a very comfortable place to stay.
The hotel location was great. just on the edge of the Central sightseeing, it's just a 5 minutes away from shopping area including food, but not too crowd. The hotel was well maintained. super clean, like new. the access to public transport is excellent, CAT bus is just in front of the hotel. Perth central station is just 5 minutes away.
Great Location in the CBD, With easy access to shopping and restaurants. The hotel had a public cafe area where breakfast was served. The room rate included any breakfast and some additional items on the menu.
Great room with traditional furniture and a large bathroom with a free-standing bath.
it’s not a hotel but a small number of en suite room / apartments in a lovely building in central Perth. The room is big enough with good facilities and some thoughtful and practical touches that were very appreciated. I was also able to leave my case while I explored Perth after I’d checked out.
Michael the manager was wonderful, Flight was late, Called him from airport. He met us on arrival and showed us
to our apartment - upgraded due to a problem in basement due to bad weather in Perth. So kind, helpful and attentive even though he was not feeling well.
The location is amazing! I love being able to have a self contained 2 bedroom apartment WITH washer and dryer!!! And all for less than the average cost of a standard hotel room in Perth.
Great central location for what we went to perth for. Room facilities were quite good. Hotel accomodated several booking requests that we requested when booking. View was quite good.
Receptionist, Rachel, was very obliging and could not be faulted.
The downstairs Bistro - very good.
Wanted to book a hotel in close proximity to Perth airport and yes, it was.
The room was nice enough but I had paid $20 more for a much nicer and bigger room the night before in a different hotel in Perth. It was close to the mint and free bus service.
The location was right in the CBD, lots of shops within walking distance. Easy to get to everywhere. Hotel staff was really nice and helpful. Room was spacious and clean.
Our all time favourite hotel in Perth - love it there! Have stayed so many times over the years and and will be back for many more. It's our home away from home
