The location was excellent - right next to the spas and an easy walk to restaurants and the Faberge Museum. Our room was on level 1 with a walkout to the garden and view over Caracalla Spa. The room was massive and spotlessly clean.

The city is small but very elegant.
The city is small but very elegant. The main attraction are the baths, which are part of a UNESCO World Heritage transnational site. It is recommended to visit during the spring season as the beautiful riverside parks will be at the height of their beauty, but the Christmas market is also drawing lots of interest.
The city centre is realtively small, with the main shops in the lower area and the historic section with lots of scenic views on the hill overlooking the river Oos and the baths area. Excellent public transport is available for trips to nearby locations.
Special mention for the Frieder Burda museum.

The town is very relaxing and offers hiking, biking, sightseeing and of course the spa and casino. We took a free tour of the casino, which was informative and not too long, 45min. The spa is a must otherwise why go to Baden-Baden! There are two options, and they are completely different in what they offer so best to read up on them. If you want any treatments book early as they go fast on weekends. There area is beautiful and there are a lot of walking/hiking/biking opportunities to enjoy so plan on getting out from the downtown and head up into the forest. The Black Forest is less than an hour away for any day trips as well as Strasbourg. Train service is an option.

We used Baden Baden as a base of operations for seeing areas further north along the Rhine and further east in the Black Forest, and it's a charming town though of course very much an upscale shopping mecca (which is not really our thing). Now that I've seen the town I'm realizing we could well have stayed an extra night and seen some additional historic castles and other sites, and I for one (though not my husband) would have enjoyed a day at the spa!
As we arrived early, the hotel was accomodating for leaving our luggage until the room were open. The location was great. Paid parking was closeby and was easy to navigate. The staff was able to help us with providing directions. They were very clear on how to enter the hotel with reception was closed which helped us greatly. While we were on separate floors, this was not a problem at all. There was a great Tapas restaurant across the street. The spas were reasonably close for walking.
We had to book a room last minute because of issues with our original hotel and the staff was extremely helpful in letting us check in late. The room was very nice and clean, and the breakfast buffet was great. It’s near a bus stop, so it’s easy to get to with transit (and the bus line that runs there also goes to/from Baden-Baden’s train station directly). Staff was very friendly and gave great tips on exploring the region. Would happily stay here again.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a parking garage on site (through the garden) which is helpful if you travel there by car (a fee of 21 euros a day). Breakfast was included with the room which was a buffet with lots of options - the fruit provided was delicious and they had a lactose free yoghurt option. There is a lovely garden at the back of the hotel. The hotel is also very centrally located in Baden Baden.
Lovely hotel with bright rooms that are well laid out with thoughtful details. There’s a fan for the warmer summer months that cooled the space to a pleasant sleeping temperature. Staff were friendly and helpful (despite my lack of German) and breakfast was fabulous with great coffee and the option of freshly cooked hot options and a robust continental breakfast. It’s a great location that’s quiet but close to everything.
The swimming is one of the best I've seen; big, spacious facing floor-to-ceiling windows. The room we had was really large and comfortable. I usually notice the little details so I was very impressed by the heavy door handles and the doors themselves; solid, heavy, and built right. Breakfast at the Wintergarten was spectacular. The hotel made my first time in Baden-Baden unforgettable. Thank you :)
Location location location! We went to baden-baden for the spas, and this hotel was right across the street from both of the main spas.
With no reception or any staff it was easy to get our access code and walk straight up to our room.
The bed was comfortable and having pretty much a full kitchen was wonderful.
Being able to use the clothes washing machine was also a huge positive.
Everything went very well. The hotel is well located (in the city center), it's super clean and comfortable. The size of the room is adequate, you have enough space, also the view is nice (with some flowers on the window).
Breakfast is included and the terrace is beautiful.
I would definitely go back to this hotel next time in Baden Baden.
We really enjoyed our stay at Baden Baden thanks to Hôtel Rathausglöckel.

everything was wonderful from check in to check out! we loved that we could walk under the hotel to the spa’s. comfortable bed, beautiful room, and very attentive and friendly staff!
Beautiful and charming hotel located in the city center. Nice breakfast. We appreciated the sauna, the big bathtub in our room (with spa water!), and the view from our balcony.
