There was a lot of construction going on in downtown Estes Park. The trip through the park was lovely until the weekend when multiple multiple multiple tourists showed up causing vehicle backups thru the park. We went earlier in the week and it was a wonderful trip because we could go and come as we wished without undue backups. Parts of the park were closed because of snow. The downtown of Estes Park was very busy and the construction hindered things. We ate at Mama Rose restaurant and it was delicious! I took a horseback ride thru the mountains and it was beyond fantastic. Nice horse, good guide!

My son and I were in Estes Park in February and the weather...
My son and I were in Estes Park in February and the weather was sunny, yet cold and quite windy. There was an almost 20 degree Farenheit temperature difference when coming from Denver. The drive from Denver to Estes Park is an awesome experience in itself. From Lyon, you start to drive up on a windy road surrounded by mountains on both sides. It goes from 5000ft to 7500ft. The drive is very beautiful and once you climbed up Rt. 36, you start to descend just a bit and then, you come around a curve and there lays, in a valley, Estes Park with a beautiful lake, surrounded by snow tipped mountains. Estes Park is a small town with a main street, lots of unique stores, a unique looking movie theater, and many restaurants. There is a Safeway and Dollar Tree and I don't think that there are any other grocery stores there. Estes Park is also very close to the entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park and the home of the famous "Stanley" Hotel, which was used in the movie "The Shining". We also drove around in the surrounding area and found a few great roads that lead to parks and trails. I have truly enjoyed my 4 day stay in Estes Park and hope to be back soon.

Off-season, a great mountain town next to the Rocky Mountains. Enough stuff to do and keep busy for our trip! Ate at Rock Inn, Casa Colina and Hunters Chop House, all fun places. Getting around was pretty easy off-season, though there's a large parking lot near the entrance of Elkorn street.
the beds were nice and the staff was friendly. they also had a pool and a hot tub which was nice but needed to be cleaned. there were extra towels by the pool though which was very helpful. the rooms seemed very clean. they smelled great when you walked in, and this is a pet friendly hotel. your cleaning crew must be excellent. my only complaint was against myself, and it was that I had no cash to leave a tip for the cleaners.
Beautiful views, close to downtown Estes Park; for shopping, souvenirs, and restaurants. Large area in the center of the complex for grilling, a playground, horseshoes, and swimming pool. Murphy's is a pet friendly facility and has designated rooms. If they are out of designated pet friendly rooms, you can still reserve a room but will have a $250.00 pet charge that will be charged if your pet does damage.
Tastefully updated rooms in a classic Estes Park riverside location. Easy walk to center of town. Plenty of towels and hot water. Comfy bed! TV had an open HDMI port for bring-your-own entertainment. Mini fridge and microwave are nice touches. We didn't opt to be on the river but were pleased to have a delightful mountain view. Easy check in and check out.
We loved the stunning setting with the river running by, the outdoor space with hot tub, and the very comfortable and spacious interior. We also valued being a 6 mins drive from the Rocky Mountain Park Gate and even less from Estes Park town centre with its’s nice shops and restaurants, and handy Safeway Superstore close by!
The only Pros is it is near to Rocky Mountain national park.
We did not like the Hotel room and services as per Room charge . Bed was very uncomfortable. Also they need to improve their customer service attitude. There are many better options available in Estes park so choose wisely.
The Sonnenhof B&B was the perfect place to stay in Estes Park. It was in a great location to reach the RMNP as well as downtown Estes Park with all of its restaurants and shopping venues. The breakfasts served at the Sonnenhof were the very best in both quality and quantity!
Location was great. we are CO residents who stayed in Estes Park for a wedding. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early so we could change & head off to our event. There is a pool but we didn’t use it. The room was very clean.
Location of this hotel is perfect for hiking in rocky mt National park east side! The city of Estes is also a nice little city. Staff was friendly as well, and it’s nice they provide some breakfast, albeit a small one.
I was previously staying at the Estes park review but the beds were so uncomfortable I had to change hotels. The quality in did not
Disappoint! Clean and comfortable. Pretty decent breakfast (included in price).
Clean room, aromatic body wash and shampoo. Interior of room looks great. Friendly staff, fireplace works at time of breakfast. Jacuzzi works all day long. The best hotel I stayed ever
The hotel is in a great location. Close enough to town but away from the crowds. Super cleans cabins with added details like coffee/filters, stocked kitchen.
Staff, things hotel offered .snacks , activities to do , swim , fire pits
Location to town , stores close by . On the main path to sight see and shop .
