Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe breakfast that was available at a "discount" price in the restaurant near the Visitor's Center was abysmal - it was a pitiful buffet that looked like it had been sitting there since at least the day before, and it was still expensive even after the discount.
Adequate hotel & room. Parking available. Friendly staff. Good location. They accommodated our request for late checkout with no problem.

United KingdomThere could be better communication about how to get to the property (maybe a message on Booking.com the day before checking in) as it’s not immediately clear how you get in. The wifi signal wasn’t great, although it could be relied on for light internet use. The hotel doesn’t yet have the usual “yes please clean”/“no come back later” signs that you can put on the door - this would be useful to have to avoid awkward moments with cleaners. The interior decor could be improved upon (although I was in Mitzpe Ramon to admire the makhtesh not hotel rooms so I really didn’t mind!). Hot water in the shower comes on with some delay, but in all fairness the wait was quite short, and Mitzpe Ramon is already hot enough so the initially cool water was very welcome.
Great location; right next to the bus stop for busses to and from Be’er Sheva, to restaurants and grocery stores, and the Mitzpe Ramon Visitors Centre is also a walking distance from the hotel. The reception and staff are very approachable, respectful and helpful and explained everything clearly when checking in. They want to ensure you have the best possible stay. The room was clean and everything functioned well, there was some noise from outside one night (the hotel is next to a small plaza), but there was no disturbance internally so it seems the soundproofing worked well. There is flexibility regarding check-out times which I really appreciated as I had to leave early in the morning.

IndiaI was not too happy to walk 10 minutes to another hotel (which was hard to find, despite google maps) for breakfast in the morning.
Centrally located. If you come by bus it is just a few steps away from the bus stop. About a ten minute walk to the lookout point for the crater. Nice clean room and good shower. Polite, helpful staff.

CanadaThe fact that water needs to run for a very long time before it gets warm. What a waste in a desert. One more concern, which is the municipality’s responsibility: to park in lots where a fee is being levied, one needs to download an app with a link to an account with an Israeli bank. How stupid is that for a town that lives of tourism?
It is very well managed and cozy. The manager truly cares about her guests. The hotel is centrally located.

CanadaIt can be a bit noisy for the rooms above the plaza out front where people tend to congregate, but that isn't much of a problem in the winter when it is too cold to hang around.
Betty at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. The included breakfast at the nearby coffee shop is pretty good. Beds are good. The location is very central, close to the bus stop, close to the park visitor center.

IsraelYou have to pay for parking, however once everything closes the staff lets you park in the vendors' parking space for free. The parking area had a terrible smell of sewage, we literally had to hold our breath when getting in and out of the car, then the car stank because we had sewage water on our shoes! In addition, for those of you who are VEGAN, there is NOWHERE to get a decent vegan meal, so make sure to bring your own food.
The location is great, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are clean.

IsraelThe room was very noisy!! We heard everything that went on outside as though it was in the room! We also had to pay for parking. The staff let us park in the vendors' parking after hours, but when we came back from breakfast, the gate was closed.
The location was great, the room was small but comfortable. There was hot water in the shower, the fridge worked, and the staff were wonderful.

United KingdomOn the Friday night, our room was quiet and we could sleep late. On the Saturday night, however, there was quite a bit of noise from the eating/drinking establishment (not part of the hotel) located on the floor beneath our room, which went on until midnight. I guess it's also used as a meeting place as there was quite a bit of loud conversation again at 5:30am on the Sunday morning. Not a huge deal but light sleepers might want to request a room on the other side of the building.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff, comfortable and clean room. Location is a short walk from the crater. Breakfast at the restaurant on the edge of the crater was fantastic!
