We stayed in the Kolod room at Kato Waidi and it was beautiful! The room, the property and the entire Nubian village is colourfully decorated. The room was a decent size, fabulously decorated and its domed roof made for the strangest acoustics (worth having a play with if you're staying with someone else!). The bathroom was small and the shower was almost directly over the toilet but this oddly was not an issue as it was not cramped at all and the water on the floor drains and dries up very quickly. Everything was very clean. We loved having meals in the outdoor dining area. The dogs and cats on the property were very entertaining and a highlight of the stay. The Egyptian food was nice too. The Nubian market is directly outside the entrance of the property and is a great way to spend a bit of time. There was also an ATM right outside the hotel entrance which was handy. The manager is so easy going and attentive. He ensured our room was available even though we arrived very early and even had breakfast made for us even though it was well past breakfast time! And also very kindly organised a private sunset boat ride from the property which was great. He also took care of the airport transfers. We paid for everything at the end of our stay which made things so much easier as we just added things onto our tab as we went along. The value for money here was fantastic. If we had more time we would have also taken a felucca boat ride with picnic.

The location is in a tranquil nubian village on the west side of the Nile. If you're with the car, you easily exit on a highway towards the Aswan Dam of Abu Simbel. The courtyard is a traditional one, the room was big, clean and with a good wi-fi. The host was careful and the surroundings looked safe. We also parked the car at the gate front and it was ok. The breakfast was tasteful and we served it outside in the courtyard. On the evenings, the lights from the courtyard make a warm and nice atmosphere. A good value for money!

Abu Simbel Hotel er staðsett við rætur Grand Temple of Ramses II og býður upp á útsýni yfir Nasser-stöðuvatnið. Beautiful large room (suite), view on the lake. Pool area is an instagram view and well designed. Service was quick and professional. Friendly and responsive staff. Very close to Abu Simbel temple (20 minutes walk). Hotel manager very helpful to organize local trips - i did a 4x4 desert safari to wadi el-sabua/Daka temples. Warmly recommend this hotel.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Movenpick Aswan Resort Hotel. The complimentary boat ride was a unique and hassle-free experience with frequent shuttles. The cart service from the boat to the hotel was convenient. The personalized welcome reception, spacious and clean rooms, and the option for adjoining rooms for our family made our stay comfortable. The hotel's size was impressive, and while we couldn't explore it all, we were pleased with what we experienced. The attentive staff promptly addressed our requests and concerns, enhancing our overall experience. The family massage was a highlight, and the buffet dinner left us all delighted, especially the children. Even with an early morning flight, the hotel thoughtfully provided snacks for us to take along. I'm looking forward to returning and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Obelisk Nile Hotel Aswan Resort is located on the Nile Corniche, just 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Aswan. All rooms have a garden view. Since I discovered this hotel nearly 20 years ago, I have stayed here on numerous occasions, and I simply love it more each time! It has everything I wish for in a hotel: perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms, good food, lovely grounds, and, not least, the most wonderful staff! They really go out of their way to help you with any problem you might have, they are invariably friendly and warm and make you feel so appreciated and welcome. On this last occasion, when I unexpectedly found myself in a situation where I really needed help, I had three "special angels": guest relation Reham, and managers Mohammed Youssuf and Elagia. A huge "Thank you" to all of you!
