Featuring Europe's biggest port, Rotterdam mixes typical old canals with 21st-century architecture. Home to a multicultural community due to it's international trade, this city also houses important cultural institutions like the Erasmus University and the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Including bustling terraces and exotic restaurants, Rotterdam resembles a global bazaar!
Known as "Manhattan on the Meuse River," Rotterdam is a haven for architects and the city’s skyline includes the Cube Houses, the Erasmus Bridge, and brand new "Kop van Zuid" business area.
Energetic and sparkling, the center of the city is a shopper's paradise: the Cool District has modern shops and department stores on streets like the Lijnbaan and Hoogstraat. Don’t miss the exclusive Van Oldebarneveltstraat if you prefer small and trendy boutique shops.
The Maritime Museum offers an open-air collection of ships, cranes and machinery. Moored on the south bank, the transatlantic liner SS Rotterdam is also worth a visit. Before landing at The Hague Rotterdam Airport, be sure not to miss the views of the buzzing harbor from the airplane.

Brilliant modern city with so much to do and see. I was there for 4 nights and honestly I could have stayed 4 more.
Great musuems, galleries, coffee houses and restaurants. Loved Boijman Depot, the Remastered interactive experience and the 40-45 museum.
Transport system is super easy to use.
People are really friendly and very very helpful.

Absolutely loved Rotterdam - way preferred over Amsterdam.
Absolutely loved Rotterdam - way preferred over Amsterdam.
The city had so much to offer and we didn't even get to go over the bridges to the other side so definitely could have done with more time.
The food and architect was amazing and it was just so clean and a lovely city to explore.

Modern, with large paved streets for pedestrians full of shop, but with a ghetto-like feel at night.
Also most of the locals aren't rather polite or welcoming to tourists.
It definitely wasn't what we were told. I wouldn't plan a stay there - a day trip from wherever you are staying is enough.

Cool town.
Cool town. In each street and hood you can feel the political reality behind it. Even today you can feel what the bombing during WW2 meant for the city. It is a laboratory of urban planning after the WW2, you walk through social responsibilty concepts of the second half of the 20th Century. You see how the country´s been struggling for its own ground, you physically feel the climate crisis, and you enjoy the free spirited people, the challenges of liberal times - and also you get overwhelmed with the arts and culture and museums. The DEPOT is a highlight, reserve at least two or three hours for it. (And never miss the Sonneveld House.)

I loved the modern architecture and modern public sculpture throughout the city. And if you tire of both, you can always go to Schiedam or Delfshaven, or catch a train to Dordrecht or Delft. Museums to check out: Nieuwe Instituut (architecture, design and digital culture), the Cube Houses, the tiny perfect Chess Pieces Museum near the Cube Houses. Brunch: Jordy's (Deliplein) or Koozie (Noordereiland).

Rotterdam is a fun city. Not so big as to get lost.
Rotterdam is a fun city. Not so big as to get lost. Really easy to get around on the metro/trams. The architecture, both historic and modern, is top notch. I'd return again in a heartbeat.
Great hotel in the heart of the city with nice and helpful staff members. Rooms are nice and clean. Air condition worked perfectly. Breakfast available in the bar area, at the weekends until 12 which is a big advantage for those who want to sleep a bit longer. Nice welcome from the manager at the reception. Location is perfect too, everything is close, there is a nice bars area just 10 min walk from the hotel. I'll come back there for sure if I'm next time in Rotterdam.
This is a great hotel, with excellent staff and good value for money in the centre of Rotterdam. We booked two economy rooms but received graciously an upgrade for free.
The standard double rooms are spacious and spotless clean. The bathroom is modern and well equiped. The hotel exists now 5 years and is very well maintained with beautiful flowers in the main entrance. Breakfast is not at a fixed rate; you pay what you consume. A very pleasant stay!
Everything was spot on.
The location may seem a bit out of town, but a regular tram into the city centre is just a minute's walk away, followed by a 15-minute ride to Rotterdam Centraal.
And Lonneke was kind enough to loan me a OV chipcard, which made travel on the metro also straightforward.
But that was typical of her and Duco. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location is also in a nice part of town, with a supermarket less than 10 minutes away.
High-quality small boutique hotel within a safe and luggage-friendly 15-minute walk of the Rotterdam Centraal train station. Excellent you of a size good enough for 2 people. Very good ventilation system in the room (actually works as advertised, unlike many hotels). Faces an open recreational park area so lots of light and not noisy. Hotel has bikes available to rent, which was a nice option. Nice lobby/dining area, suitable for an evening drink.
We stayed for a week during the World Police & Fire Games. Staff were always helpful and friendly. I loved our room (101) with its own big balcony. Hotel is small and quiet and close to trams. Our room had a nespresso and a small fridge so I could enjoy morning coffee outside. Hotel has free bikes for guests and everyday we biked around Rotterdam. An excellent hotel.
Everything!!
I recommend this hotel to everyone. It was lovely. Very spacious room with a nice big shower. Beds are comfortable, wifi works great, location is in the heart of Rotterdam. Even though it is close to downtown the street is quiet and you can sleep with the windows open. Staff were so nice and welcoming, also gave recommendations
This brand new business hotel opened only two days before I stayed there, it's a very convenient place just next door to Ahoy Rotterdam. Beautiful and comfortable room, however, space for luggage is limited.
Fantastic breakfast! Staff is super friendly and helpful, be it at the reception, in the restaurant or around facility staff.
Letty is a very nice lady that made us feel at home. The apartment is very well located, close to the airport, to the zoo and to the city center. Everything was clean and the room such as the kitchen and the bathroom had all the amenities necessary. We hope to come back when we return to Rotterdam 😊
ART Hotel Rotterdam is a comfortable, clean, central place to stay and we would stay again. The staff were especially lovely with our 2 year old daughter when we went to the Mio Papa restaurant for meals, giving her toys to play with and entertaining her in between serving other customers.
It's a great place for comfortable, affordable short stay in Rotterdam.
Old school hotel style but has everything you need for reasonable price; especially the location that is very central but still you are in a quiet neighborhood. Very friendly staff.
A unique hotel interior, and friendly staff who stored our luggage for us both before check in and after check out.
Additionally, the hotel was located a short walk from Rotterdam Centraal, which made the rest of the city accessible.
Perfect location especially if you travel a lot with the train during your stay. Because of the location I could take later trains back to Rotterdam. The staff was helpful most of the times. The hotel has a noce ambiance.
Great location in Rotterdam, 10mins to central station. Supermarket and bars about 2mins away.
Hotel is a little bit tired/ old school but that’s part of its charm.
Very friendly staff.
Easy check in/out.
i love the location! The metro is just beside the hotel. Their view from the windows is the best. I can see the river and beautiful city. The best part is there are three single bed in my room. I love it!
Location is perfect 10 min walk your in rotterdam centrum. The hotel is clean the room is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. I will surley come back.
The staff was awesome and it is super easy to get to the Hotel. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that takes you straight to Rotterdam Centraal.
