A bustling small city, Eindhoven is the "Capital of Dutch Design" and home to the Design Academy. It houses a renowned technical university, and is a European technological hub that makes it shine with modern buildings and venues. The 5th-largest city in the Netherlands has also become popular for the fast-growing Eindhoven Airport.
Although it gained its city rights in 1232, until the foundation of the Philips Company in 1891 it was still a small village. Encompassing the growth of the company, at the beginning of the 21st century its population had jumped to 200,000 people.
Nowadays, it still attracts companies and people wanting to develop themselves in the fields of creativity and innovation. The Dutch Design Week is a famous event that takes place in October, while contemporary media, art and technology inspire the city’s agenda throughout the year.
Choosing hotels in central Eindhoven is the best way to have everything at hand. However, hotels or B&Bs near the train station or Eindhoven Airport are also a good option to avoid last-minute rushes. Check out Booking.com’s deals before you travel!

Its right on the airport terminal, so good for catching an early flight.
The room is basic but comfortable.
The biggest negative is that the hotel does not offer dinner and you can only get some fast food in the area. The airport restaurant ( snacks and pizza only) closes at 20:00 and the there is only MD close by.

Eindhoven is a great place to come and shop, take in a leisurely meal, and just relax. Everyone is very friendly and although its outward appearance is not as pretty as Amsterdam or as large as Rotterdam it still has a charm that keeps drawing me back. There is something for everyone here and you can take in a football match at PSV or a music event at Dynamo, it is a young vibrant city with a very nice up-and-coming area at the old Philips site - Strijp S
Don't forget to check out the DAF and Philips museums - really good day out

A truly unremarkable town.
A truly unremarkable town. We had to walk for 12 minutes even to get to a coffee. A US diplomate once described the Cold War West German Capital of Bonn as "Half as big as an average cemetery in Chicago, but double as dead". Eindhoven meets this description as well. I will never consider staying or passing through there again.

Eindhoven is a small but nice city.
Eindhoven is a small but nice city. There are plenty of places to eat and have a drink. Everything is within walking distance. The Philips Museum was interesting and I enjoyed the walk to Strijp S. I found the city to be a bit expensive eating out but that is due to higher wages in the Netherlands. It is not a very touristy city. We struggled to find a place to buy a magnet and ended up finding one in the central station bookshop for almost 5 euro! We like to collect magnets so of course we got it. I think Eindhoven is worth visiting for 1 day and its location is useful to travel to other cities. For example we went to Antwerp by train and it was a pretty short journey.
The pub street was a bit of an anti-climax. I had read that it has the most pubs etc but it was really dull and we went in August on a weekend, so I expected it to be more lively.

In our trip to Amsterdam We have the flight to and from Eindhoven so we booked this hotel which was perfect choice for our needs, near city center and near the train station to go out for our trip.
The facilities of the rooms and hotel too, so the breakfast which was perfect. I will recommend to all, that have the same way of trip to visit Netherland.
We would definitely choose this hotel once again. Not common at all, very special. Great location, very easy to reach by bus 401 from the airport. Close to the city center (20 minutes walk or a short ride by bus 401, 402 or 403- the stop is very close to the hotel), the staff was very nice, helpful and friendly, especially the lady at the reception (Thank you!). Very good breakfast. The room was big enough, comfy beds, complementary snacks and drinks from the house (Thank you). We loved the design and the positive vibe of the place.
The hotel is just out of the city centre and is approx a 25 min walk in, but its a nice walk if the weather is good.
The hotel it's self is built into the college but don't let that put you off. The students that were working are very helpful and run a great hotel! I loved it here, the rooms are very comfortable , modern , nice size with a great bathroom. The bed was very comfy, I slept amazing both nights. I was pleasantly surprised with just how good this hotel was and I will definitely return on my next visit to Eindhoven.
The hotel location is excellent as its right in the middle of the centrum of Eindhoven. The hotel facilities are quite amazing as they have the skybar, which is small enough bar and makes bar-goers feels more connected and built the atmosphere. The hotel breakfast is just amazing and it is what expected of it being an NH hotel. I stayed in one of the suite with spa bath and the room was just excellent. Comfortable and spacious.
The location of the hotel is great, right in the city center. The room was bigger than we expected and we liked the fact that the check-in process was automated (you can check in on your own at some tablets at the entrance). The shower in the room is very spacious, we liked it.
It was useful that we had free access to the lockers in the hotel lobby, where we left our backpacks for a couple of hours even after we checked out.
The location is great, in the city center :) On the day we landed in Eindhoven, we had to travel to Amsterdam, but it turned out that due to the storm, all transport buses and trains were stopped. We had a reservation for Boutique Hotel Lumiere in two days. This did not stop the boy from the reception with a smile and change our reservation for free, for which we are very grateful :) Excellent experience :) Thank you :)
The location was excellent: close to the train station (which has a bus connection to the airport) but without the noise of moving trains. This is a lively area with a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants. It was somewhat noisy on weekend nights, but I almost couldn't hear it in my room. The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions in Eindhoven, such as Van Abbe Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.
The hotel is situated in a business area very close to Eindhoven Airport, one stop by bus or 10 minutes by walk, so we had no worries about transfer on our arrival or departure. The good thing is that check out time is up to 12:00. Restaurant and bar are very nice, food is good (tasty and well presented), prices reasonable, and restaurant/bar staff are extraordinary professional, nice and kind.
The hotel is located right in the city centre of Eindhoven therefore one has access for busses and other facilities nearby (restaurants, cafes, bars..).
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I even asked them for a place to leave my bike when I was staying in the hotel and they provided it for me.
The room is equipped with most of the items needed for a comfortable stay.
B&B townhouse is located in a fancy residential neighborhood close to the city center. Vintage room with an attached modern bathroom. Very spacious. The breakfast is prepared with care, and is comparable in variety to a buffet breakfast in a large hotel. Really good. Very friendly and helpful owner made the stay a special event. Will definitely come back.
The hotel is located in a great place only minutes away from the train/bus station of Eindhoven.
The breakfast was plenty and quite nice (not included in the standard room reservation).
One could access laundry/ironing facilities in the hotel.
I loved the hotel, it is in the city center, big room, clean, very nice and helpful people at the reception and in the restaurant. I asked for a quiet room and I received it. For sure I will stay here, if I will visit again Eindhoven.
Clean room, central location, relatively close to the Dynamo Festival, Albert Heijn close by to buy food and drinks.Bus stop in front of the hotel, direction Eindhoven Central train station.Good value for money.Thank you :-)
Very interesting room interior and hotel itself. Good choice if you are bored from corporate standard hotels. Great personnel and very good bed. Excellent location to walk to city centre and get by bus from/to airport.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very cool. The room had very high ceilings and designed tastefully. It was very clean as well. The hotel is very close to the main train station and to the city center.
Location was great. Right in the center of Eindhoven. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We skipped breakfast so no info about this. Good value for money. Would totally recommend this hotel.
The bed is very comfortable. The hotel even provides water and some other drinks. Shower kit is also provided. Walkable distance to Eindhoven station. The staff is very friendly.
The hotel is located on beatiful street right in the city center. Owner was very friendly and the room was just what we needed for our short stay in eindhoven.
