We come to Venice at least twice a year and stay in Cannareggio un March to be near the Settemare Boat Club as my husband rows Venetian style and we have an informal twinning arrangement between Settemare and City Barge in England

Venice is like one large open air museum.
Venice is like one large open air museum. We didn’t spend too much time visiting musea, churches etc. because the weather was nice and it was just wonderful to wander around. All different areas in Venice are worthwhile visiting and have all a very different character. We did a vaporetto trip to Burano, Murano and Torcello and must say our favourite by far was Burano. Although you can spend a long time in Venice, you get tired (and saturated), so more and shorter trips would be my advice (we spend 3.5 days this time and it was a good length). We went in early March which was a good time to visit. Not too busy and temperature was ok. If you don’t want to pay for a gondola tour, you can use the traghetto crossings. Short but fun (and in a gondola).

What a fun unique gorgeous city!
What a fun unique gorgeous city! We planned to stay in Rome, our first trip to Italy. We did a day trip to Pompeii and Almafi. And then we decided to take the train and one night to Venice. So glad we did. The train ride up was about 5 hours, but after walking in Rome it was a nice relaxing trip and fun to see the Italy countryside. The train was nice, would love to plan other stops such as Florence in the future.
Venice was fun to get to, especially over the water. We just did one night stay, and made our afternoon and next morning worthwhile. Definitely would love to go back for longer, the hotel and area was fun, and with more planning more to explore! Our gondoler was great. The water taxi was also wonderful. Every turn was picturesque. Definitely would love to explore and stay longer!

It's tooooo expensive and the food is not good everywhere.
It's tooooo expensive and the food is not good everywhere. You have to pay a lot to have a decent food. It's a beautiful place to visit, but just for 1-2 nights. it's overcrowded and there are shops and people selling things everywhere!!! Too much noise. Venice has lost its local features due to money exploitation. So sorry

Loved Venice even though it was very wet and cold. I love Italy and the Italian people are wonderful. Venice is very beautiful. Recommend a shared water taxi from the airport booked through Tiqets.com, excellent service. Used Alilaguna waterbus back to airport which was also really quick and reliable.

We had apartment in excellent location, ten minutes’ walk from piazza S. Marco. At this time of the year there were just right number of tourists so that city doesn’t look empty but at the same time the crowd was not too big, and it was possible to find place in the restaurants without much trouble. We were pleasantly surprised with prices in restaurants and cafes and the food was as expected very good.
Out stay at Angel’s loft was exceptional. Michele is a great host, he told us which ferry to take and met us by the station, helped us with our luggage and explained all the details for our stay. The place is just the most beautiful, clean, comfortable, safe and the location is the best, close to everything and in a great neighborhood, by the Rialto bridge, thank you so much Michele for one of our best stays in Italy, we will be back to Venice and we will stay here again and again!!! Five stars!!!
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.
It was our first time to Italy and knowing that we needed to take not only a train to Venice but then also a water bus to the property, we had all kinds of questions for Kateryna before we arrived. She was very helpful in letting us know the best train to take from Milan, how to find the water bus, and which one to take. She met us at the docking area and escorted us to our apartment. It was more than we could ever have hoped for: clean, spacious and right on the water!
The size of the apartment was larger than I was expecting. My host, Rosa, was very polite, and explained everything that needed to be done to take out the trash and such. A number of books and maps on Venice were provided, as well as a list of recommended restaurants, marketplaces, and other shops. The beds were very comfortable, and I had the best sleep in my entire study abroad experience in Italy. I liked how the apartment was out of the way, and rather discreet.
Our favorite apt from our trip to Italy. Great quiet, safe, location walking distance to all the sites. Full apartment with traditional furnishings, ac in each room, full kitchen and laundry facilities. We loved it and felt like we were temporary residents of Venice instead of tourists. Helpful host with clear instructions for entering apartment. Safe area with restaurants nearby and convenient to water busses.
The room and view were spectacular. It was our first visit to Europe and Venice, Italy was a perfect start to our trip. Marco and Chiara were professional and extremely helpful. They explained how Venice was laid out and how to navigate. They gave us an extensive list of places to eat each meal in each siestrie. The room staff were so efficient and our room was spotless and well equipped. A total pleasure.
beautifully restored building amazing floors very friendly family run B&B with the best breakfast we had in Italy. Fresh bread and pastries cold meats cereals juice strong coffee… we were amazed by hosts hospitality. left bags on our check out time and explored more and picked them up to walk back to the train station.
If you are wanting to come to Venice this is the place for you .
A fantastic beautiful hotel. Centrally located. Exceptionally clean and excellent speedy customer interaction. Prices in April very reasonable for such fabulous location and luxury. Breakfast the best ever had in Italy. Comfy huge beds, marble bathrooms and historic Italian decor. Take the water taxi from the airport right to the hotel. Amazing. Definitely recommend and would return
The Hotel was located in a perfect location. Staff was outstanding!!!! Helped with everything from restaurants, sights, and the pharmacy where we could get our Covid test and paperwork for our departure from Italy. Lara is enthusiastic about her job and helping you get the full Venice Experience!!!! This the only place that I would stay in Venice…..
It was the most comfortable and beautiful little boutique hotel. We even got a free upgrade with private garden area. It felt super quiet and chilled there. The best area in Venice..less touristy and amazing little cafes, restaurants in easy walk distance. Really friendly owners and all round authentic and romantic little gem X
.
Roberto is the best host I have met during my trip to Italy. Kind, helpful and cordial. His BB is located right next to the beautiful parks and Giardini, in a calm and quiet part of Venice. There is a nice local bar next to the house where you can chat with local people in the evenings. I will be back!
It was big and the people were extremely nice and helpful, and quick to respond. It felt more homey than a hotel, and very private as well. I went with family but it would be a great place for a couple as well. I visited a few places in Italy and this was my favorite spot so far.
This was a last minute booking due to the air traffic strike in Italy, so I was really surprised how lovely and clean these suites were and in a brilliant location on a little canal in Venice,.with the gondalas going past I would definitely use these again .,
Location was perfect as travelled to Venice by train from further north in Italy and was able to get to hotel within a couple of minutes walk.
Bed was very comfortable .
Staff were outstandingly helpful.
The directions to the hotel were detailed enough that I actually got to the hotel...a definite achievement in Venice1 The breakfast was the best I've encountered in my two months of travel through Italy.
everything! great location, great, helpful and friendly staff,
very lovely hotel, room was wonderful. breakfast was delicious, the best breakfast we had in Italy.
