Basin in bathroom very small and awkward to use. Use of laundry room for breakfast convenient but needs to be supplied regularly. Good location. Hotel across the road a good option for meals. Very clean. Easy check-in

Our first time visiting had us low in expectation for the most recent trip we had, but it seemed to be an entirely different town this time! Friendly locals, clean look, many food and stay options, family friendly and felt moderately safe. Leisure activities may have lacked, but Canberra is just next door, so that was no issue for us.
An overall pleasant town and worthy of visiting.

The place is very clean and the town is well looked after. Has great parks and fantastic walking paths. Everything is easy to get too.
Had dinner at the Tourist Hotel. This exceeded our expectations. Well worth going and trying the hot rock where you cook the meat yourself.
Easy place to get around.
Had breakfast both days at a Cafe over near Spotlight. The meals fantastic. Worth a visit. It looks like it is a family operated business.

Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower.
Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower. The shower is designed for short people and the shower head plastic parts have been damaged by the hot water. I love a warm shower, not too hot, and the heat available in the shower is in abundance which I reckon you could boil an egg.
I would come again though as this shower head, above described is not definately not a deterrent, just an idea for improvement, and it is good the feel like a giant just that once in a while.

Queanbeyan is an excellent place to stay when you are a pensioner or just mindful of saving money. It’s much cheaper to stay there than Canberra but access to Canberra is swift, efficient and just a short drive.
As for convenience of shops to suit all needs there’s no doubt Queanbeyan has it. Next time we go we’ll visit some of the attractions that we didn’t get to see last time.
This is my second stay at the Country Plaza Motel. It has that degree above the usual motels. The furnishings are of another era and so well looked after, the room is clean and the bed oh so comfortable. The bathroom is fastidiously clean and well appointed. Quiet location. Queanbeyan can be cold so reverse cycle air con and electric blanket made for a cosy room. I will definitely go back as the added bonus it is the perfect location for my trip to Queanbeyan.
we wanted something close to Canberra, at a reasonable price - and this accommodation fit the bill for us. Yes, the facilities are dated compared to newer hotels, but the accommodation worked perfectly for us - studio with kitchenette and small bathroom. Parking was easy and onsite. Bed was comfortable. And it had the Campbell & George Social Club across the road for dinner options (easy walking distance). We would definitely stay here again.
The beds here are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and have everything you need for an overnight stay.
The location is brilliant too, walking distance to the local shops, clubs and pubs.
There is a fridge and a microwave and dishes for your own meals if needs be.
The breakfast is massive and my hubby and I shared one!
A nice ground floor room, very clean and well presented, very comfortable bed, (shower floor a little slippery)
Breakfast room a nice well organised room, with multiple selections for breakfast,
Next time in Queanbeyan, we will certainly stay at the Golden Age Motel
Really good quality older style motel in the heart of Queanbeyan. Had everything we needed. Great to have microwave and plates, cutlery etc so you could do your own breakfast. Everything very clean, and very nice owners.
The 2 bedroom apartment was great and well equipped. The motel is lovely and quiet despite being in a location central to everything. Easy walk to river parks, cycle track and Queanbeyan shops and restaurants
The staff were wonderful - welcoming and very accommodating, their assistance was greatly appreciated. The facilities were clean and a lovely place to stay within easy reach of Canberra. Thank you so much!
Unfortunately, hot water missing around 6pm on two of my nights. Available a while later. Hotel was pretty quiet, and layout was good, ie beds away from parking. Good budget motel
