Saalbach Hinterglemm provides variety of slopes and there is something to offer for everyone, even for the heavy skiers. Jausen is a good start for the day as a first slope. Hinterglemm is little bit less busy and those days that are crowded, maybe to consider to take ski-bus there. In Hinterglemm parking is more easy. Saalbach has little bit toi many cars.

You can walk around the town with ease ,plenty of restaurants and bars .Plenty of variety of ski runs from beginner to advanced .very big area to ski and different runs across the mountains .Plenty of facilities on the slopes for refreshments and warm rest areas . fantastic views when the weather is clear and was plenty of snow when we were there right down into the town .

I have not been to the valley itself until this year, although I know the Zell am See region well. I must say that the Saalbach Valley offers a lot of possibilities for an active vacation in all seasons, the range of services is well organized and offers additional discounts with the Joker card, and there are also many culinary and food establishments.

Great area for summer activities like MTB (both downhill and Endurance/XC), trail running and hiking! Easy accesss to both Saalbach and Hinterglemm area and Leogang also pretty close. Great variety - no matter if your beginner or advanced in MTB and/or trail running. Also some nice really advanced/demanding hiking routes - for examle "7 Summits". Possibly also great area for gravel biking. Easy access to alpine terrain via ski lifts - also with bikes. Great variety of open restaurants and cafe´s in both Hinterglemm and Saalbach cities but also up in the mountain terrain. We lived at Thomsn Alpine Rock Hotel which we recommend 100% - super location, stunning view, bike service, wellness and simply a really nice hotel :-)

I came to join my son and family for hiking.
I came to join my son and family for hiking. It seemed to be low season. Very few guests. I had a lift just behind the hotel, wich was very good. My family stayed just 10 minutes away by foot, so we spent all evenings together. I did not explore the restaurants in the town, but streets were quite empty.
It is a very amasing little perl in the Alps though. Summer and winter.
We made very nice walks with amasing views. Sometimes demanding, though you take the lift up first.
I hope to return some day.

Extensive ski area, with long and varied runs, quick comfortable lifts and small queues.
You have to get 2 buses to travel from Saalbach to Kaprun at the other end of the ski area, which would take 1hr 10min each way so although the area offers lots of runs you have to use public transport. Otherwise Zell Am See, Saalbach and Hinterglem are well linked.
Good use of snow canons and artificial snow, well maintained pistes.
Not snow sure for mid march onwards (which is when we went) and if it's warm then it is poor skiing after 12pm and there wouldn't be any off piste.
Lively resort, good bars and cafes.
Well linked lifts in each area.

Austrian hospitality at its best. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. . The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are comfortable. Restaurant is tops and the crew there deserves a special compliment. Just like the bar crew. One big private ski locker per room in the cellar. Ski lift a 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Location is best in town (in centre of town but very quiet - car free zone). Car is parked in the public VIP parking garage. Big heated indoor pool and nice sauna and relax area overlooking town.
Hotel Bauer offers a cozy and intimate and personal atmosphere carried by Silvia and her husbond who runs this family hotel. The service is top notch and staying there felt very home like. I was there to mountainbike, and Silvas was very helpfull with maps and and tips to make the best of my trip. I was actually planning to go to another area after a couple of days, but Saalbach/Hinterglemm and Hotel Bauer was so nice, that I stayed there for 10 days. For those 10 days Hotel Bauer absolutely felt like HOME.
Wonderful hotel! A lot of restaurants within walking distance, ski lifts too. The receptionist was really nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. I will be missing the omellettes they make, one of the best I’ve had. It was really nice to end our day in the sauna and the infinity pool after a long day in the slopes. Can’t forget to mention the restaurant and the bar at the hotel itself. Really good food and drinks and everyone really friendly.
The location is incredible, located a 2 and 5-minute walk (even in ski boots) from the nearest lifts. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and always ready to assist.
The hotel's facilities, including the spa, bar, and restaurant, are both lovely and modern. We ate a few evenings in the hotel and this was also lovely. We were not half board but heard lots of good things about this option.
The hotel was along the side of the mountain and was surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff was amazing. They set out decorations at our table for my daughters birthday. My kids were very fond of BeBe and Maya and followed them around the property.
The food absolutely delicious.
There were so many different activities to do at the property and our kids were never bored.
The service was excellent and the hotel does look like in the pictures. The location offers various free time activities. Breakfast was great. However, if you are looking for lunch or dinner you need to visit the restaurants in Hinterglemm. The home made cocktails (Mischmasch) and the Shisha were excellent and were a perfect addition to the nice outside bar.
Great family owned hotel, extra clean, hardworking and nice staff, well equiped, delicious food, sommer card inclusive, great location also for families with kids. We stayed there for 7 nights and get never bored. We could imagine to spend there more days or recommend this hotel and location to our friends.
All was perfect: breakfast, afternoon snack (nice after skiing), dinner, pool, saunas and whirlpool. Especially service provided by Bodin through the dinner was excellent. We've enjoyed every minute of the stay, despite the weather was not that great. We can only recommend the stay to others.
Definitely the best stay we had on our trip to austria. It was that good that we got back for another unplanned night. A very welcoming staff members, outstanding half board - dinner was 4 course menu, new modern rooms with a wonderful view, and free joker card.
The views and the breakfast. The service. There is a ski equipment locker with boot warmers. The hotel has a partnership with Gumpold ski rentals which meant that we could drop off rented equipment at the reception and not have to go back into town.
Small hotel run by a very friendly helpful team. No pretence about it being something it’s not, it’s an honest value for money place run by Anjelika and her team.. they always have a smile on their face always happy to chat and always helpful
It has been my 5th or 6th time staying either at Stammhaus or Alpine Palace Hotel and as always I was not disappointed. Facilities, a tasty breakfast, and welcoming staff are what make me return here. And most likely I will be back.
It’s my second year at the hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the location is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I hope to come again next year!
We liked the service and breakfast. Sauna was small and cozy. It was easy to reach ski piste. Hotel offered on Wednesday BBQ pork ribs and they were amazing.
