I stayed at the hostel two nights, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. If you want a very clean and tidy hostel, then this is totally worth the price! It’s feels a little more high end than a lot of other hostels. They have a tap with clean drinking water where you can get your bottles filled up, and the free walking tour with Billy was so nice. It was such a great way of meeting new people and we got to see the train pass by through the train street. The staff also recommended and helped us book trips out of Hanoi. I went on a 3 day 2 night Halong Bay trip with Oasis on the Bay, and it was so great!

Well set in the Hoan Kiem district of Hanoi, Bông Hà Nội hostel is located 1.2 km from Hoan Kiem Lake, 800 metres from Thang Long Water Puppet Theater and 1.4 km from St. Joseph Cathedral. LOCATION: This was fantastic, everything you need is in walking distance or a very cheap grab away. DORM: I had a bottom bunk on the first floor of rooms and it was amazing. It even had a window which was a pleasant surprise as most hostels I've stayed in don't have windows, or there is just one at the end of the room, but having my own window was good because I enjoy having the natural light. STAFF: At any time of the day they are always there and happy to help with any questions. They are very well spoken and knowledgeable which made planning future day trips + the Ha Giang Loop very simple. HA GIANG LOOP: Going on from my previous point, booking the Ha Giang Loop four day tour with this hostel was the perfect decision. The booking was roughly $350 AUD for 4d3n which included all meals on the loop, transport to and from Ha Giang City, and an awesome easy rider. I had Ha Van Tho (Thomas) as my driver who is seriously one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. Even at our overnight accommodation along the loop (all included in the cost) he would spend time and hang out with me and it was awesome to really connect with him and the other drivers to learn more about the local culture and way of life. HOSTEL FACILITIES: No complaints with the toilets/showers. Definitely above the expected standard for a hostel, I never felt uncomfortable and the staff take cleanliness and hygiene very seriously. SUMMARY: You can't go wrong with staying here on your visit to Hanoi. Whether you are looking for a reliable hostel to provide you plentiful options for the Ha Giang Loop, or you simply just need a comfortable and affordable stay in Hanoi, this is the place to go. If I ever visit Hanoi again I will without a doubt be staying here.

Located in Hanoi, 3.2 km from West Lake, Musketeers Guest House provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. This place was amazing! It was clean, well maintained and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. I really enjoyed that the hotel was away from the craziness of the Old Quarter but still a cheap and quick ride away. The building itself is absolutely stunning and the hotel is a walk away from so many bars and restaurants.

LOCATION: It was clean, close to the main attractions of the city and easy to be picked up by tour operators. STAFF: there are no words to describe how accommodating and kind everyone was, whatever we needed and what we didn’t know we needed. Above my expectations, thank you so much. CLEANLINESS: even though the bathroom is shared, it was pristine each time. Well equipped ROOM: AC worked perfectly, the room has enough light, spacious and has literally everything.

Actually we were sent to another property (closeby) of the hostel as this one was full. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything during our whole stay. They brought us to the other premise with scooters. The rooms were big and comfy - only glass doors/walls to the bathroom but hey, it's usual in Vietnam. Breakfast was great and the aircon was working well in the warm.

Conveniently located in the centre of Hanoi, Sword lake hostel offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The property is close to St. The place was really clean. I really like how big the safety security cabinet was.
