Arrived on a Saturday afternoon so very quiet and only one local bar open , the hotel had a cafe. Very quiet village , shame about the huge freight lorries obviously using the road through the village as a cut through.

There is nothing to do there, then just relax.
There is nothing to do there, then just relax. There is a shop, where you can find the most necessary things there. The restaurant also has some choice, and the vegans would have to do with french fries and a salad, which is not that bad. I have seen that people do not stop there much on the way to Santiago. The path from Villafranca was well-marked, you just have to follow the path, even though I was most nervous about walking the section from there, it worked well.

I love history so he was eager to tell me the history of the place as well as the village and let me look at some of the books about the hospital and pilgrims (ailments and food) from 400+ years ago. All of the staff were extremely polite. Breakfast was included and not only was it delicious but a good variety of toasting breads, pastries, fruits, juices, oat granola (which was awesome)!RebeccaUnited States of America
