Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality.

Very historic old town.
Very historic old town. It used to be the capital of Galicia. Beautiful cathedral. Location next to Mindo river makes it very special as well. Strolling along the river, with Tui lingering above was a delight.

Tui was bigger than I expected.
Tui was bigger than I expected. It is a very interesting town close to the Portuguese border and has many historical buildings. There are lots of bars to choose from - El Pilar being our favourite. The old cathedral is worth a visit to view the architecture and there are some lovely walks along the riverside.

Small, beautiful medieval town in a lovely location.The cathedral is stunning and if you buy the small audio tour you can climb up to the ramparts for a wonderful view of the city and river looking across to Portugal.

Restaurant/cafes near Albergue Pallanes were not open for food in the evening when local referrals were given but a nearby supermarket was well stocked. The kitchen at the Albergue provided all that was required for meal preparation. Only stayed one night. At the end of a days travel/walking Tui restaurants were a step too far away.

Tui is a great historical location, with enough modern conveniences for most. It is a great centre for touring and is located close to the border with Portugal It is also conveniently located, for walkers, on The Camino Portugues.
Wonderful place to stay. Miguel checked us in and helped us with everything we needed. This is his family home that was converted a few years ago and is beautifully done. It was very comfortable and has everything a pilgrim could need.
We particularly liked various common areas, outdoor space, comfy beds, and plentiful breakfast.
We recommend this place for anybody traveling through Tui and we would certainly stay here again when coming back.
It's a real oasis providing a relaxing break for the traveller. The staff go above and beyond and realising I wasn't well (I've since ended up in hospital on my early return home, with heart failure)they even gave me a lift into Tui and later came to rescue me from a sudden downpour when I had gone to look at a local place of interest. Thank you all so much.
Very nice Albergue, I took a single room with private bath. Lovely building, location about a 15 min walk from centre of Tui. One of the nicest stays along the whole route for me - in Santiago in two days (May 2, 2022). A great combination of Albergue friendliness with the privacy of a private room with ensuite if you like it. A very firm 10/10 from me.
Clean and lovely room in the centre of the Tui. But the restaurant downstairs was very noisy. We can hear people chatting loudly till midnight. Our window was directly above the courtyard where the tables were. Unfortunately we can’t close the window because there’s no AC and the small bedroom was quite hot.
just like a villa, complete with huge backyard garden with statuary. Friendly staff and beautiful rooms. our room shared a huge porch with next door room. 3 rooms shares one LARGE bathroom. very clean, airy, perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Tui
Full of character, spaceous and peaceful - yet in the centre of Tui. Amazing hosts who run this place with genuine care for people. You can buy breakfast, coffe, beer and wine in the hostel. They have washing machine and thumble dryer. You should not miss this one out!
It is a must stay hotel if one walks the Camino - everything was made for pilgrims, even the textured carpets on the ground for tired feets, yoga mats in the living are to stretch the tense muscles… Just perfect! And cafe downstairs serves excellent breakfast
Their location is directly on the Camino and a few steps away from the Catedral de Tui. Ideas Peregrinas also has a cafe and small shop with pilgrim supplies. The beds are comfortable and the showers hot with great water pressure, Wi-Fi was strong.
Location - right in Tui city centre next to Camino route, perfect for pilgrim;
Staff - owner doesn’t speak English (and I can’t speak Spanish either) but he seem polite and willing to help;
Facilities - basic but good enough for 1 night
AMAZING private rooms directly along the Camino. Felt like a 5 star hotel. Spotlessly clean, luxuriously comfortable, beautiful room. Right above a cafe with very kind staff, great food and coffee. Well worth the price.
This was a gorgeous hotel and I would love to stay there again. The room was absolutely beautiful. The bed and pillows were fabulous. Staff was so helpful. Beautiful outdoor area. Breakfast buffet was quite good.
The personal service by Maria in reception was above and beyond, as I had accidentally left my phone in the taxi and she managed to help locate and get it delivered back to the hotel by the next morning! Superb!!
Fantastic quiet accommdation, looked extremely new! Enjoyed two days in beautiful Tui. Used the very modern washing machine (pilgrim). Can absolutely recommed it. Supermarket just around the corner.
The hotel is in a good location in the centre of the lovely town of Tui. We were given an express breakfast at 7am which allowed us to start out Camino walk early which was very helpful.
It is always a treat to stay in one of the Parador hotels. It was very quiet which was nice and the rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast was good, and a good value for the cost.
One of the newest and best run Convent Albergues for pilgrims in Tui. Clean and comfortable and designed for pilgrims with a lot of different social spaces.
