Albergue Victoria, hotel in Cirueña

Featuring a garden and free Wi-Fi, Albergue Victoria guest house offers private and shared rooms in Cirueña, right on the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route. Burgos is an hour’s drive away.

The property was comfortable. The owners were amazing - kind and thoughtful. They greeted me with cold water and prepared coffee for me in the morning for my early departure. They have WiFi, laundry services, and all is set up to enjoy the stay. They have a vending machine on site too, which is help as there is no supermarket in town. The dinner they offer is good - and they can prepare it gluten free or vegetarian. I noticed many small details that made the stay very easy and warm.

Hotel Real Casona de las Amas is located in a 17th-century palace in Azofra. It offers a salt-water swimming pool, sun terrace, and a garden area. Free on-site parking is available.

The hotel is of the highest quality in every way and the hostess who checked us in and also helped serve breakfast the next morning was so very friendly and kind, even responding to my mistake at breakfast with understanding, going out of her way to fix it and beyond. I recommend this hotel without any hesitation!

Parador de Sto. Domingo Bernardo de Fresneda, hotel in Cirueña

This historic hotel is housed in the former San Francisco Convent, in Santo Domingo de la Calzada.

From the moment we walked in from The Camino we were treated well. The front desk staff is helpful and efficient, the room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was very large. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants, bars and shops. The setting, attached to a historic convent, was beautiful.

El Molino de Floren, hotel in Cirueña

Located in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, 26 mi from Logroño, El Molino de Floren features a bar and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Every room includes a flat-screen TV.

This is the best stay I had on the Camino. The place is clean and quiet, the hosts are SO nice. If you want to be treated with love BECAUSE you’re a pilgrim, this is the place to stay. Also the food is incredible. Must do for both dinner and breakfast, the food is the best in town and about the same price as all the other places. They have a great menu del dia with local Rioja specialities. The hosts don’t speak English but they use Google translate fluently and you can feel their positive energy flow to you even if you’re confused! :)

Adorable, clean, comfortable. Very quiet at night with a fan and a window to keep the air moving. Loved being able to make our own coffee before our pre-dawn start on the camino. A washing machine and drying rack were awesome. Checkin very easy and a sello was available for us walkers

The town seems to be dying, which is sad because it is so beautiful. There were no restaurants open the day I was there, other than the golf club. It was a very quiet and lovely place on the Camino de Santiago.

Lovely albergue. It is outside the village of Ciruena by some distance. Very clean, bed was comfortable, toilet and shower facilities spotless. Laundry facilities were great. There was a vending machine reasonably priced which was nice to see. Hosts were very nice. We had a communal meal and local wine which was really nice, great cook. You paid extra for that. I paid €4 for breakfast which was disappointing. Got coffee and toast for that. Would not tecommend this. Very enjoyable overall. Would highly recommend it but avoid the breakfast.

We arrived at the hostel by taxi and called the manager, Lidia, and she came right up to us and handed us the keys. Since the apartment is far from the city center, we were able to drive to the downtown market in her car. Lidia was a very kind and responsible person. The facilities were equipped with the cleanliness and convenience of a five-star hotel, and everything was new because it was a new building. There was no discomfort in her life at all.

Nice clean homey old style lodging to stay after reaching Ciruena through what appeared to be totally out of character soulless urban sprawl. Perhaps some developers & urban planners vision that went wrong? Casa is in the old part of town which is neglected by the new development outside but has a bar/restaurant nearby serving drinks and good food. Glad it was there for much needed rest stop. Good bed.

My 2nd time with the lovely couple in Ciruena fir a winter camino. True hospitality and comfort and a heated room and bathroom. I was improvising with bus and taxi as the Jacotrans did not run over Christmas and my pack was too heavy due to sleep apnea machinery. The hospitalero offered to bring it to Belorado….
