I was pretty tired when I arrived so I cleaned up and had my dinner. I slept very well. I made a trap for the fruit flies and most were trapped by morning. The bathroom light bulb burned out but it was not a problem.
The storage for my bicycle was appreciated. Thank you.

Kaub is a very pleasant village in the Rhine gorge .
Kaub is a very pleasant village in the Rhine gorge . Transport links are very easy and convenient with hourly trains in both directions to Frankfurt and Koblenz and Cologne and a short walk to hotels and guest houses from the rail station. There is also a ferry across the river for cars and foot passengers to Oberwesel .
Like all the Rhineland towns and villages there is excellent scenery and plenty of walking routes from up steep paths to stunning views and easier low level paths along the Rhine embankment.
Kaub is as good as all of the Rhine gorge locations very convenient for all types of traveler and tourist, whether you travel by private transport or public Kaub is easy and convenient with with excellent scenery and is a great place to stay.

It is a beautiful but very small village: the restaurants are not open everyday during the week so eating choices are limited but there is a great train connection to the neighbouring villages. I recommend the rafting tours that go from Kaub
Nice, stylish, cosy place. We stayed in two separate bedrooms on the top floor with very comfortable beds. Each bedroom had at least one table (for dining etc.). One bathroom (very clean, everything there) in between, everything to be reached from the upper end of the staircase, where one can find an improvised, but convenient kitchenette. Great location close to the Rhine in the middle of Kaub. Very friendly owner and manager. Perfect place for us!
WE stayed there for only one night as a stopover and we were very happily surprise about the area and beatiful views of the river. The hotel was very clean. Although we arrived after check in time, the staff was really nice to let us check in afterwards. The rooms are very clean and the beds are a nice size to sleep comfortable. The breakfast was great and we had a great conversation with the staff , he made us feel home.
Big thank you to the hostess of the hotel, who welcomed us with glasses of sparkling home wine and showed us around the castle. At the end she offered us sandwiches to go as we had a day of trekking ahead of us, thank you :) For the hotel - beautiful spot, you can sleep in the medieval castle but with a comfort and style. You can relax in few gardens, terrace or a library with a fireplace.
The value for money was just perfect. The flat is located in the city center of Kaub, perfect location to go and visit the Lorelei or go by walk to the Castle behind the house. The room had 1 bed and a sofa which can be transformed as large bed. Both are comfortable. The lady who welcomed us was very nice and took the time to explain everything.
Beautiful location, lots of walks around the area, many gardens on the castle grounds, the library, the grand piano, the epic breakfast, the sauna. Really friendly staff. Best Indian takeaway in Germany is there in Kaub!
Could not recomment this hotel enough!
Breakfast was great! The views were fantastic! Only five rooms at this time, so there was no crowd and the opportunity to explore the castle as you wished. Also, not open to the public, so only the hotel's staff and guests were present.
Location off the beaten path, super quiet, 5min walk to the ferry, then 10min by car to Bacharach or Oberwesel. Hotel has a restaurant bar, host was kind and helpful. Breakfast plenty for a long day exploring the castles.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has several perks for hikers (like foot cream as part of the bathroom amenities). Breakfast includes also takeaway bags to pack lunch. Good restaurant included.
Perfect location for the Rheinsteig, right in the middle of Kaub and an attractive place to stop over. Also easy to access from the station for walkers/day trips. Comfortable and very clean.
We really enjoyed the staying in Kaub. The staff was very nice, building very cool while outside it was very warm. Breakfast in the morning was included and freshly made.
