Set in Galveston, in a historic building, 1.7 km from Porretto Beach, The George Manor is a bed and breakfast with a garden and bar. The house (manor) is beautiful, the room was very spacious (with a separate kitchen, living room and ample wardrobe/storage space) and the walk-in shower worked very well. I received timely information about accessing the room and we were able to leave our luggage in a specific room elsewhere after our check-out. The walk into town is easy and interesting, past other impressive houses. The staff we met were friendly and informative, the breakfast was delicious with lots of fresh fruit, pastries and jams/marmelades. Hot breakfasts can also be ordered. We didn’t eat dinner at the Manor but I have the impression that it would be delicious.

Easy to walk around town from there and the breakfast was delicious.

The highlight was undoubtedly the jacuzzi – a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The presence of friendly animals added a charming touch, making our experience truly delightful. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!
