This three-hour food-themed walking tour will help you to learn more about traditional Azorean cuisine. As you follow your guide around Ponta Delgada’s cobblestone streets, you’ll hear insightful commentary about local food traditions, artisanal produce and the island’s most loved dishes.
The tour will stop off at the local market, where you’ll be able to try Azorean specialties that are found nowhere else in the world. You’ll also be able to chat with local artisan traders and hear about their passion for the food they sell.
The tour will include a mix of traditional cuisine as well as innovative modern dishes. Your menu will include blackberry and physalis jams, Azorean pineapple, organic meats, seafood and homemade desserts such as green tea ice cream and passion fruit bavarois.
